Instantly feel at home in this cozy cottage by the sea. This family-friendly cottage has a beautiful ocean view and is steps away from private beach access. You will have a full kitchen as well as a small kitchenette next to a washing station. Helpful extras include a crockpot, baking essentials, and a salad spinner, as well as spices, basic oils, and vinegar. Three mini-split air-conditioning and heating units (with remotes) add convenience during your stay.

After a fun-filled day, rinse off sandy toes using hot water in the outdoor shower, then gather around the outdoor firepit and watch the stars comes out. There is also a treehouse in the yard that the kids will love! Extra perks include a boogie board, sand toys, kites, and a card table with chairs.

Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park is a 20-minute drive south, where you will find one of California's most iconic natural wonders. Tolowa Dunes State Park, Lake Earl, and Crescent City are also within close distance of this cottage.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

This was our second stay at this house. The yard is great for kids and beach access is great. The only issue was that right after check-in Vacasa texted to ask us to rate the cleanliness. I gave it 4 stars and then over the next few hours we found a bunch of things that would have changed the rating. The dining table was sticky and had visible spills. When I moved the cutting board on the counter, it was obvious from all the crumbs underneath it that the cleaner had just wiped around it. The dishwasher was full. Nothing horrible, it was just obvious that the cleaning hadn't been thorough.

Sea Dreamer Cottage

Very nice and comfortable... beautiful location between Brookings and Crescent City. Close to the Trees of Mystery (our favorite destination). Everything you need is provided. Will definately stay there again in the future. Great beach access.

We had a wonderful time and were able to totally relax. This home was one of the best equipped homes we have been in with all the amenities you could ask for and more. The home was spacious and the outdoor space was great. The outdoor shower with heated water was a great bonus after spending time at the beach. We can't wait to go bak again.

This property was exactly as it was described in the listing. It wasn’t very modern but had easy access to the beach, plenty of room for everyone, and they thought of every amenity you could need.

Great time had by all

Accessing the beach was easy and we took advantage. Beds were good, plenty of blankets etc. Bathroom and kitchen well stocked. Plenty of games, tv, faux fire.. all rounded out to a good time. Our only issue was the freezer leak into the refrigerator, we had to shuffle food and put a bowl in to catch it. That was no fun! We would recommend this place to others!

Cozy and great location

I live In Oregon and my family lives in CA. This was a perfect in between place for us to meet for a long weekend beach trip. The location was perfect and private and they make sure to provide lots of blankets and heaters which kept it nice and cozy. The first couple of nights on the fold out bed were rough but then we realized later that there was a mattress topper for it and then it was all good! It was hidden under another bed so just make sure to look for it if you’re going to sleep on that. There’s also TVs in every room which is nice! Would definitely stay here again!

Fabulous Beachhouse

I am tempted to give this house a really bad review so no one else will book it and we can come when ever we want. The truth is it was fabulous. It was perfect for our family of five. We loved the layout of the house, loved the huge windows and natural light, absolutely loved the outside shower. It was the perfect place to relax. We loved the trail to the beach and the beach itself. My kids say the only thing that would make it better is if they had boogie boards in the garage with the other beach gear. But we found a place that rents kayaks and other stuff a couple of miles south. The beds were comfy and the water pressure for showers was excellent. We will definitely come back here!

Girls week at the coast

Had a little trouble finding the turn off from the highway, and bit of a musty smell, but we had great weather and opened up the windows so enjoyed our stay, quite a little hike to the beach but way worth it!! Thanks for letting us stay.

My friends and I had an wonderful stay here during a long weekend roadtrip to see the Redwoods. The house is located just off the I5 but is still very conveniently near two Redwood state parks and to Crescent City (Try the Good Harvest for some delicious food! We went for brunch and dinner!). Private access to a quiet and majestic stretch of beach. We were so lucky; one of the evenings, the sky was so clear and was absolutely filled with stars! The house is decorated with an ocean/mermaid theme and comes with an adorable treehouse. The beds are comfy and the place was spotless. Check-in through Vacasa (the property management company that runs the place) was easy; instructions for everything were simple to follow. Wish we could have stayed longer. P.S. The only minor hiccup was that, if you book with them through VRBO, take note that the house is managed by Vacasa rentals. We tried to contact the property owner through VRBO but they did not respond; I am assuming this is because they typically only check the Vacasa app instead. All in all - great place! You won't regret staying here :)
