First this property is no longer Stonewood Inn and Suites. It is an Econo Lodge. Before I explain each negative issue I want to highly commend the manager on the property. The ONLY person I ever saw on the property for Econo Inn. He stepped up on every issue, did his best to resolve them. The only company person when we arrived and they only one we ever saw on the property in our 3 day stay. He was cleaning another room down the hall because "his cleaning person called out". The room it was dirty and smelled of smoke, dirty corner walls in the bathroom. Refrigerator dirty. The TV wouldn't start - Employee found wifi unplugged and another switch turned off. Went to take shower only to find it didnt work. After tugging on the handle hard it got unstuck. The room numbers are all taped w duct tape or another tape. :( :( :(
The next A.M. as we're leaving we found that the door bolt lock was not working and the key card had stopped working too. The same man on duty came down again leaving the desk unattended, I know because another client came to ask him if there was anyone to check him out, as he was re-screwing the plate on the door thinking this was the door issue. He said some painter had just put the doors back up. After he returned to our room since the re-screwing of the plate did not fix the issue he said I thinks he just need to file the lock mechanism down a little. He returned with the filing done. 30 min after we had tried to leave for the day. This poor man!
