Other things to note
Water, baseboard heater and fireplace info:
-breaker for water pump and water heater will be OFF
-breaker panel is in the cupboard in 2nd small bedroom (lift the cabinet door up and use the plastic latch to open the electrical panel, then turn on the breakers labeled "water heater" and "well pump" which are marked with green tape)
-breaker for baseboard heaters will be on and heaters on low/medium (turn them up to warm up as needed)
-please turn the breakers for the water heater and well pump OFF before you leave
-please leave both baseboard heaters on medium before you leave (to prevent frozen pipes)
-instructions for fireplace are taped to the wall near the fireplace
-let the indoor fireplace die down before going to bed or it will be too hot for sleeping, especially in the loft area

Things to bring:
-drinking water (cottage is on a well so it is fine for showering and cooking but we don’t drink it); there is a water cooler that will fit any standard water jug
-firewood (we cannot guarantee firewood will be available; wood can be found around the property but we advise guests to bring some; wood can be purchased at the Eagle Lake Country Store which is 25 mins away)
-bed linens like sheets (queen x 1, twin x 4), pillows and pillow cases (each bed has a duvet with duvet cover on it)
-bath towels, beach towels, hand towels, dish cloths, tea towels, towels for wiping dog paws
-dog bed/blanket if you are bringing dog
-toilet paper
-paper towels
-boots or closed toe shoes (some areas can get very muddy/sinking if there is recent rain
-water shoes for adults and children (shallow water has vegetation and some debris)
-laptop, ipad, device chargers (there is NO TV at the cottage)

Things to know:
-the main dock is in the water from beginning of June to mid-October (if you visit the cottage late-October to May the dock will NOT be in the water for these months)
-sections of the driveway are on an incline, so it is recommended to park at the top of the driveway in the winter months, especially if you do not have snow tires or 4 wheel drive
-kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, pots, pans, utensils, etc.
-garbage, recycle and kitchen bags are in the storage/water closet
-garbage/recycling *MUST* be taken home as we haven’t gotten the card yet for bringing garbage to the local dump
-BBQ lighters are in the red container beside fireplace, and in the white cabinet beside the front door there is a tin with matches
-full size propane BBQ (propane provided) and full size charcoal BBQ (bring charcoal) are available
-closest grocery store is in Sundridge or South River
-Eagle Lake (25 mins away) offers both Summer and Winter recreation, and also has a General Store
