Enjoy all the comfort and and modern conveniences while you escape to unwind and rekindle connection with family, friends and nature.

You will love staying in the beautiful Red Cabin with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, living room and full kitchen with eating area. Several guests have referred to it as a "hidden gem" ...
There is even a beautiful claw-foot tub in the second bathroom. Pamper yourself!

Tesla Charger is free for guests to use during their stay.

There is a new kitchen island with 2 stools, and new kitchen table with 6 chairs.
New oven/stove and microwave. New refrigerator, dishwasher, sink and disposal.
All beds are super comfy, newly updated, including new linens and towels.

Enjoy relaxing in the spacious living room equipped with a gas fireplace (new 8/21), 55” smart TV and wireless internet.
Enjoy the wrap-around porch with rocking chairs and other chairs to bring out to the fire.
Peace and quiet to reconnect and renew.

Hike around the 300 wooded acres (but no hunting) on our private retreat.
A one mile trail to the private deck at the Lookout - you can see for dozens of miles!
Many trails are marked and maintained for you to explore.

See the bluffs and scenic overlook. Hike down to the hidden gorge.
The property has a security gate at the entrance to the driveway (1/3 mile long off the rural road). This is NOT a "gated community" ... this is a private retreat with your Red Cabin and the owners' cabin. The barndominium is not currently rented via VRBO.

The kitchen is fully equipped with kitchen utensils, pots, pans, dishes, glasses, towels, automatic drip coffee maker, crock pot, toaster, blender, dishwasher, stove/oven, refrigerator and microwave.

Second Bedroom - Queen size bed.

There is a full bath in the Master bedroom and a second bath for guests.
The centerpiece of the guest bath is the claw foot bathtub which adds a touch of luxury to your cabin stay.

Things To Do

Explore waterfalls, bike, golf, canoe, swim, paddle-board, or kayak at Fall Creek Falls State Park. (13 miles)

Go boating or birding at Rock Island State Park. Be sure to check out the Downstream Trail off Powerhouse Road for an amazing view of the waterfall! The town of Rock Island has a coffee and ice cream trolly, shops, antiques and a restaurant (Foglight Food House).

Hike Burgess Falls, Virgin Falls, Lost Creek and Welch's Point Scenic Overlook.

Horseback riding at Fall Creek Falls Riding Stables

Check out the caves at Cumberland Caverns.

Visit the shooting range at Dead Zero.

Visit shops in the local Mennonite community. During season (Spring-Nov) you will be able to purchase home-grown produce, farm-fresh eggs, breakfast sausage and baked goods.

Build a campfire and roast some marshmallows in fire circles right on the lawn.

The owners, Erin and Bill, live on the property in the green-roof cabin and are available to assist guests as needed.

Save A Lot is 5.5 miles away. Otherwise, if you are looking for Kroger or WalMart, plan on driving 30 minutes!

Spencer has a new cafe for a quick bite and dessert, Crimson & Clover.

We had a great stay. The cabin was super clean, well-stocked and very comfortable. Erin and Bill were hospitable and easy to communicate with; and Bill is a great tour guide of their beautiful property-- take the ATV ride! Easy drive to Fall Creek Falls.

Perfect Location

The cabin was perfect. It was private and secluded and a short drive from Fall Creek Falls. It was very clean, had great wifi and phone service and everything else you would need. Communication with the owners was great. I would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

Perfect Getaway

Friends meeting up for a bachelor party. Get outdoor isolation and great time to reconnect with friends. Home has a very cozy feel. Great place to stay if your looking to get away!

Wonderful getaway spot!!!

Loved everything about this cabin!! Immaculate, very well decorated, updated kitchen and shower. Porch rockers, swing, and outside fire set yo. Owners took me on their tv to shown where the walking tails were as well as a beautiful lookout point. We definitely will come back! The owners were very helpful and quickly responded.

Relaxation in the woods

We needed a get away and this property was great for that. Kitchen well stocked, fireplace was nice for the cool evening, fire pit outside was great with lots of wood in the woods. Walked trails and came away refreshed.

Great Home and Great Host

We loved this place. It is close to Fall Creek Falls. We have family in the area and we had them over for games at the long kitchen table. The beds were comfortable and the home was well stocked with essentials. The wrap-around porch was great with swing and chairs. We will definitely visit again!

Perfect location

This property was peaceful and neat and tidy. Just 20 minutes from Fall Creek Falls. The only complaint I have is that there is a mouse problem. We had to store bread and snacks in the microwave after losing a bag of hamburger buns to one of those critters. The owners were very nice to deal with.

Beautiful cabin in the woods

The property is absolutely amazing! It sits on private land that has tons of trails to hike on. The host gave us a private tour on his ATV of the trails and how he built the property. They communicated very quickly with us and always making sure we had what we needed. They even helped us start our fire pit since we couldn't get it started ourselves and the wood was wet from a small rain shower. The cabin was perfect with everything we needed. The beds were amazingly soft and comfortable. We would recommend this cabin to anyone looking to stay in the Fall Creek Falls state park area. Perfectly wonderful cabin in the woods!

Exceptional!

This is by far the best experience we've had! The accommodations and hospitality is simply world class. We were looking for a quite get away in the TN mountains and are grateful to have found this gem! The hosts made sure we had anything we needed and had a wealth of information of the area. We certainty surprised our friends with the beautiful cabin. Kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms were stocked with everything we needed. Words can't express how beautiful the lookout is both during the day and at sunset. Don't miss out on this secluded, beautiful wooded retreat.

The property was absolutely gorgeous as was the cabin. Bill was super nice and showed us around the property when we arrived. There is a beautiful overlook on the property which is about a one mile hike. The cabin was equipped with everything that we needed. We really enjoyed our stayed and hope to go back in the fall. A perfect summer vacation

Host has thought of everything in this perfect retreat in the woods. My sister and I loved curling up under one of the big cozy blankets and enjoying coffee on the porch. After coffee it was a morning hike to the breathtaking overlook. The house is perfectly comfortable and every detail is thought of by this gracious host.

Incredible Stay in the Mountains!

We came up to Spencer for our friends who opened up The Ugly Mug Bar and Grill in Spencer, TN. The Ugly Mug is only about 10-15 minutes away from the cabin. Food at The Mug was delicious, so if you need a spot to eat close by, this is the place! The property is perfect and peaceful, it was so nice to sit out on the porch and relax in the rocking chairs just listening to the trees in the wind. Coming from Miami, we don't get that at all. We also loved how each side of the porch had a different way to sit and relax, from the swing to the couch to the rocking chairs. And each side had a different view. Our granddaughter loved to swing with her Papa Joe and look for Minnie Mouse in the woods, it was so cute. They have everything that you would need and the couch is super relaxing! The beds are very comfy and the rooms are fairly dark in the mornings, which I love. We even got to use the fire place, that was a treat for us Miami folks. The property is very well kept and the owners are very quick to reply if you need anything. I can't say enough about this property, it was everything that our family needed for our vacation and more. We hope to be back here again.

Fantastic experience!

Our cabin was just perfect - clean, comfortable, well-equipped. The property is beautiful. We love to go to the mountains every fall to hike, and there is a mile+ hike to a beautiful overlook site on the property. We were close to Rock Island State Park, Savage Gulf State Park, and Fall Creek Falls, so there were lots of options for hiking and beautiful scenery. The hosts were fantastic, available for any issues that arose (the gate malfunctioned one day). Highly recommend this property!
