Good stay overall

Great location and view. There was a light that flickered the entire time it was on and the door is broke. When it’s locked you can just push it open. Needs the latches fixed on one of the double doors so it is secure.

Great Location!

We needed somewhere to stay close to the Springs Event Center, and this was perfect! Everything was clean and the bed was comfy. I do kind of wish the light in the bathroom was a little brighter, and the hot water runs out FAST! So shower quickly. Otherwise, it was a good stay.

Weekend getaway

Husband and I went for the weekend to sit and do nothing. It was absolutely perfect for that. Luckily we got the perfect weather too. It was so peaceful and quiet to sit outside and listen to the water and read a book with absolute silence. I’m not sure it would be like this in the summertime when the lake is busy. But it sure was perfect this time. It was so tiny and adorable. Smaller than expected but perfect for 2 people.Check in was a little weird/complicated. We were given wrong door code and office was then closed so we couldn’t reach anyone. I texted and thankfully someone answered and gave us a code that worked. Otherwise - amazing.

Great view

The cottage we stayed in was small but the view of the lake was beautiful. There was a tire on the shore and the gate was laying on the ground but didn’t affect the view from our place. Overall nice stay.

Nice and quiet, maid forgot to leave towels & toilet paper but the staff corrected in the morning.

Was a great experience, the propane was out day#1 but the staff fixed that almost immediately! Definitely going back almost every month!

Our Sneak Getaway

The online pictures does this property absolutely no justice. Small is a understatement but the view over the lake and the sunrise and sunset made up the difference. The television could have been bigger but we could never get it to work either way. Last but not least I believe that should at least be two sets of towels per person because you never know what may happen.

Not private at all

What they don’t tell you is there are 3 cabins connected together. We couldn’t set out on the deck and enjoy the Lake because the was another family 10 feet away on the same deck playing football and talking so loud my wife and I couldn’t even hear each other. Also there is not enough hot water in the cabin for 2 people to shower in the same hours. After my wife showered I waited 30 minutes for the water to reheat it never did I messaged the property manager about the problem have heard bake from them yet.

Intolerably hard bed

I had read a review that said that Castaway had a bed that was "rock hard", but I guess I thought it couldn't be that bad. It was that bad!! The bed was intolerably hard. After one night, I had to relocate to another unit. Also, this is the first place I have ever stayed where there was no communication about arrival 24 hours before my stay. I had to write the host twice to get a reply. Castaway is expectedly small with a wonderful view right on the water. The porch is shared with the unit next door.

Beautiful getaway

We had a wonderful, relaxing weekend. Property was perfect for celebrating our anniversary. Peaceful and relaxing, views were spectacular. We will absolutely be back.

Stay at Cross Timbers

Management at the Marina was wonderful and very helpful. Had trouble finding the reservation. The people at the marina were very accomodating. Cottage was just one room as a studio similar to a hotel room. Bathroom very small. common deck area to other parts of building. Would of like a little more privacy.

Okay Experience -Misrepresented

The view from the room is nice that's it. The cabin/room is extremely small and the only accurate picture in the advertisement of the room is the bathroom. The cabin was not cleaned properly before our arrival as there were dead bugs left throughout the cabin/room, as well spider webs, the bed was extremely hard, the external of the cabin is not well kept (need to pressure washed) the grill advertised was not usable. The TV extremely small. Not enough bath-clothes for two. Will not stay again

Disappointed

We were hoping for a relaxing getaway, and looking at the description was a little deceiving. I don’t mind having ‘neighbors’ and I know complete privacy is not going to happen most of the time. However, these cabins are basically duplexes where you can hear quite a lot of what goes on next door as well as outside. We stayed two nights, in which on the second evening we found ourselves in the middle of a wedding right outside our door and all around us. We felt like we were intruding as well as trapped. Very noisy. Thankfully we had locked our door, as one of the guests tried to enter our cabin. They had a halogen light they didn’t bother turning off until 1 a.m. I am sure this is not the norm, however would probably have chosen to stay elsewhere if given the choice.
