About a 45 minute drive from downtown Las Vegas you can find yourself in the Mountains - and about 20 degrees cooler. This is the view when sitting outside having lunch at the Mt Charleston lodge. There are several hiking trails in the area too, a nice change of scenery when on an extended trip to Las Vegas.

Really clean and updated room...good value for my last minute booking and they offered an outstanding food and beverage credit for our stay (certainly an unexpected perk!). Just gotta be on your toes to avoid getting cornered for a timeshare presentation, they had several people by the elevators trying to get us roped in.
