Beautiful views in a lovely village
Spent a fantastic week in a lovely house with great views iver the harbour and sea. A lovely upside down house with all the facilities you need. Highly recommended!

Upstairs of property was good but needs a little overhall in kitchen cupboards where door hanging loosly. Info pack just manuals with no details of where andthat appliances needed to be turned o at mains etc as these details missing from manal info. Downstairs needs some tweeks. Needs coat hooks in hall and a clothes drier to be able dry wet clothes on, we had a wet week and had coats to dry. Also needs somewhere to sit with a mirror to dry hair and do make up etc. Need more coathangers especially if 4 guests were staying as the cupboard is the only hanging space and draws not wide enought to take clothes without folding them up.Car access is as expected however car can get blocked in due to vans parking in a space that specifically states no parking on bottom right side. Had difficulty getting out of space due to this space being used.

Wonderful stay
The property is located in a fantastic place at the end of East Quay with superb views of the harbour. The property was clean and welcoming. We arrived early and met Kate the owner - a lovely lady and very welcoming. She left us a bottle of wine, some chocolates and some brioche buns - what a lovely touch! Highly recommended and I am sure we will come back again. Thanks Kate.

Wonderful view and location
Fantastic location, although the drive up the harbour is not for the faint hearted! Nicely laid out and spacious accommodation, with the view being the standout feature. The general cleanliness was ok but we felt a few things in the accommodation were just a bit tired.

Perfect Location
Lovely upside down ( to maximise view) home from home. Even though really in the thick of things on the Quay during the day very quiet at night. As had 3 cars on our party so buying weekly passes for the Willows car park worked really well. Had a great rib ride and lots of lovely evening harbour walks.

Fabulous stay in Little Meva ❤️
Fisherman’s House is a really great property situated at the end of the inner harbour, well equipped, comfy beds, lovely lounge dining and kitchen area upstairs with a little balcony to take in the outer harbour views and out to open sea and the lighthouse. We couldn’t have asked for a better base for our Cornwall adventures and have had a lovely 10 days full of sunshine. Thank you Kate and Rick! We will definitely return xx

Lovely property in a perfect location
The property is spacious and nicely decorated. The location is amazing, towards the end of the east quay, with a fantastic view of the lighthouse and harbour opening, and the sea. Lots of boats coming in and out, people fishing off the west quay, etc. A very peaceful location. Lots of nice restaurants (booking advised) and shops. Ideal spot for trips to places like The Lost Gardens of Heligan or St Just in Roseland. Would definitely stay here again if we come back to Mevagissey.

My best holiday find
The property was in a fantastic location. The drive along the harbour was a bit hairy the first time but fun. Really well situated and having parking right by a wonderful bonus. loved the views from the balcony and kitchen window. The house was clean and well equipped. Lots of personal touches made it feel like home loved the candles and bottle of prosecco. Megavissey is a lovely unspoilt harbour and a great base for exploring. Loved the fish grill the trio of fish was delicious. Went on a harbour tour and saw dolphins. Really wished we had stayed for 2 weeks as we felt we could have done so much more exploring. Will be booking again

2nd time at this little gem
Love this place, in a great spot in beautiful Meva, with everything you need. Took the paddle board this year, you can be on the water in minutes - there are steps to a launching area (becomes a small beach at low tide) right behind the property, also used by the new kayak school/kayak rental.

A perfect hidden gem.
Tucked away from the quaint narrow busy streets of Mevagissey this house was the perfect hideaway. A really inviting and peaceful home that was altogether very Comfortable and had a wonderful feel of seaside warmth and charm. Sitting on the balcony was the perfect place to watch the world go by with its beautiful sea & harbour views. This place is the perfect hidden gem of mevagissey We didn’t want to leave and would love to return again & again

What a lovely place…
The photos do not do this property justice. The rooms are much more spacious than they appear on the Internet site. We were lucky to have a handover from the owner, Kate, who was very friendly and helpful. The property is more like a home than a rental. Kate left us a bottle of chilled Prosecco, which after a 6.5 hour journey was most welcome. We have stayed in many rentals over the years but this one had lots of thoughtful details including foil, cling film, salt and pepper, numerous toilet rolls and much more which saved us from having to take the time out to source these items locally. The kitchen is well-equipped and we prepared a couple of evening meals without any problems. Mevagissey is a beautiful spot with very friendly people and the views of the harbour from the property change daily, if not hourly, and looking out to the piers and the channel never grew boring. Fisherman’s House was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The view from the balcony was so lovely and watching the lighthouse at night was calming, if not mesmerising. The drive along the quay to reach the property was a tad challenging, especially when the tide was in and families were ‘crabbing.’ However, this would not put us off booking this place again; in fact we have returned home today and we’re already looking at dates for next year. Thank you Kate and Rick for a great rental which has left us with lots of great memories.

Beautiful relaxing place
We stayed for 5 nights in total. Had a few issues which were of no fault of the owner and she was great, even offered to pay for alternative parking for the duration, although the issue was resolved and this was not required. Lovely spacious accommodation. Bright, airy and had everything we needed. Will be back.

Fisherman's cottage
Lovely little cottage right on the seafront with a beautiful view on the balcony. We really enjoyed our stay, it offered us a wonderful place to unwind and relax very quickly. There were a couple of little hiccups but we managed to find our way around them. It was a wonderful trip and we would definitely book this cottage again. We visited Fowey on the ferry which is well recommended, Falmouth, The lost gardens of Heligan, Charlestown Harbour, Padstow, Polperro and St Mawes. We had such a great time every day. Thank you to Kate for excellent and humerous communications and thank you so very much for the welcome bottle of processo which was very much appreciated 😘

A lovely Break at the Fishermans House Mevagissey
This was a great week in Mevagissey with everything we might have wished for. A comfy cottage with a great view of the harbour, a short walk to the local shops, a selection of Pubs nearby and parking at the property. Everyone we met there made us feel welcome and with so much to do in the area, the week flew by. We particularly enjoyed walking to the Lost Gardens of Heligan with its beautiful grounds and attractions. Inside the Eden project we were warm and dry to counter the classic Cornish weather. We also enjoyed our visit to the Bodmin and Wenford steam railway, the Screech Owl sanctuary and a lovely day out at Tintagel to walk across the new bridge and see the bronze statue of King Arthur. All in all a lovely holiday, a week was not long enough, and hope we can come back again, so much to see and do in this area of Cornwall.

Really disappointed to have 3 days of works to install a new sewage pump right outside our property, I have a photo of the crane used for the work, they stated early and finished late each day, essential work but poor timing for our visit to a property that has nearly doubled in rental cost since our last visit only in September last year

I am very sorry that you were disturbed by South West Water's repair of the pumping station. It is not something I have any control over. From time to time maintenance is required, this will have been difficult to do during the pandemic. Your last visit was at the end of September/beginning of October which has a different pricing structure to stays in May. I can assure you comparable prices with other property in the area would see you paying more.

Little Meva, probably the best location in Mevagissey
Great little place just off the harbour in Mevagissey. Everything easily in walking distance. The house itself was spotlessly clean and the covid-19 procedures in place was reassuring as it shows the owner cares about her guests.

Lovely property
We really enjoyed our stay in Mevagissy. The little harbour town is so pretty and welcoming with lots of good food options. The property is really lovely, the photos don't do it justice! Everything is very nicely decorated and well maintained, and even with covid restrictions we had everything we needed. The beds were comfy and we had lovely peaceful sleep. Thank you very much to Kate for making our stay wonderful! We would definitely come back!

Lovely harbour location

Lovely location for a restful holiday.
Compact and well equipped house. Superb location right on the harbour, but just separate enough from the tourist hub. Blissfully quiet at night. Lovely sea and harbour views. We crabbed, rock-pooled, fished, stargazed and swam nearby without the need to get in the car. Excellent independent food shops, takeaways and a fabulous, Portuguese restaurant meant we were able to eat totally local too! We also took a two hour boat charter/sea safari which was a highlight of our stay - we saw dolphins and an ocean sunfish!

A greats short break in Mevagissey
A lovely place to stay in Mevagissey, The accommodation was really comfortable and had everything we needed for a short break there. Prosecco, local biscuits and snacks were there for our arrival which was a lovely touch. Situated on the harbour it was a fantastic location for exporing this lovely village.

Quiet, peaceful; though restricted the ever-changing view from the lounge was a delight. Well furnished and comfortable but some MINOR niggles: Mirrors in bathroom and double bedroom were set too high and unusable for either of us (5ft 6in) Nowhere to hang clothes in either bathroom or smaller bedroom (where no wardrobe) Outside dustbin quite small and didn't get emptied whilst we were there TV aerial didn't work and picture kept breaking up - unusable! But we really enjoyed our stay.

Lovely home in a great location
We had a lovely week staying in Fisherman's Cottage in Megavissey. The home is lovely and ha.d everything we needed. It's in a great location on the harbour at the end of the East Quay, and just a short stroll to shops, restaurants, cafes and pubs, The private parking space is a real bonus. There are lovely walks along the coastal path which goes right past the house, and attractions such as the Eden Project and Lands End are in easy driving distance. Highly recommended.

What a view...!
We all had a wonderful week in your cottage. As previous reviewers have said, Mevagissey is a charming Cornish coastal town (with a thriving fishing industry). The cottage is ideally located on the east quay next to the local museum and directly accessible onto the coastal path. Driving along the quay to get to the allocated parking space (v. useful) offered no problems-in fact it added to the experience! The cottage is as described/shown on the pics. Everything is provided and as expected in a modern and stylishly furnished property. Having the option of the sofa bed was a real bonus. The open plan upstairs lounge and kitchen has french doors onto a small balcony overlooking the outer harbour wall and lighthouse. To begin & finish each day with a view from such a vantage point was a real highlight of our stay! Top tip: bring a fishing rod/crab line-you can do some crabbing off the inner harbour & mackerel fishing from the outer quay! Also, recommend the Fountain Inn-a real Cornish haunt with excellent fish & chips (you can pre-order & collect!). Thoroughly recommended.

Thanks Ian for your comments. Driving along East Quay in Mevagissey take a little courage, expecially in the peak season as there are often crabbers outside She Sells. It slows you right down and gets you in the holiday mood. A smile and a wave usually gets people to move out of your way.

Perfect location
This is a lovely place, right at the end of the Harbor with free parking (which you will appreciate, once you get there and see what your other options might have been). We had a bit of trouble getting in touch with the owners initially and with VRBO not sending us the "greetings email" prepared by the owners, but once that was sorted out, the rest was terrific. There are 2 bedrooms and a full bath downstairs and the main living upstairs (16 fairly step steps, just be aware). The kitchen had a full size refrigerator and plenty of cooking utensils and also spices, which was a lovely surprise. Small balcony had a delightful view of the harbor - everything was true to the picutues. My only suggestion would be to move the mirror in the downstairs hall, to a space above the heater in the hall, so "girls" can blow dry their hair. - I couldn't find any sockets that corresponded to mirrors for the master bedroom, so this was what I did to avoid, blowing, running to the bathroom to check, blowing, running, repeat! We would go back in a heartbeat !

Good thoughts about the hairdryer. Have an hilarious picture of you blow drying, running to bathroom to check progress and then back to dryer! Will certainly think about adding a socket nearer the mirror in the master bedroom. There is one in the twin! Appreciate your feedback

We had an enjoyable stay at Fisherman’s House. It is well maintained, clean, cosy (but plenty of room) with comfy beds and good quality linen and towels. Driving onto the harbour to access the house was daunting first time but really we had no problems during our stay as luckily we didn’t encounter any oncoming traffic at any time and walkers move out of the way. Mevagissey is very pretty and quaint with an excellent Cornish pastry bakery and good restaurants. We appreciated Kate and Rick’s welcoming gift of scones, jam cream and bikkies.

Well equipped house
This was an introduction to Cornwall and it was truly memorable staying in the heart of the little village of Megavissey in Kate’s well appointed 2 bed house with a view to rival the south of France particularly in the fabulous weather we were lucky enough to get for our entire stay. We travelled quite widely from this base, to the Eden Project, Lands End, St Ives and the super St Agnes Head and Trevaunance Cove - highly recommend a trip there and to eat/drink @ Driftwoodspars.

We really loved our stay in Kate and Rick's house. There are beautiful views from upstairs windows and you can hear the ocean right on the doorstep. Its a flat walk into the lovely Mevagissey town centre and our daughter really loved catching crabs on the Quay (we were really successful thanks to the tips from Rick). Kate and Rick have thought of everything to help make the holiday pleasant, including thoughtful touches like some goodies when we arrived and some fun family games. The cupboard was stocked with helpful essential items. The house was cosy and we would definitely recommend it to anyone.
