Southwind

Served our purpose well, but there are definitely some ideas for improvement. This is the first VRBO that provided no paper products, dish detergent, and only 2 dishwasher pods for 9 people for a week. Only one dishtowel. First thing I had to do after check in was go back to grocery and buy hand soap, kleenex, toilet paper, garbage bags, paper towels, dishwasher pods, and dish liquid soap. No blow dryer in entire house. Also, pool furniture needs to be replaced. Torn-someone will fall through this, especially if used at night. There is a rusted out table on deck outside dining room making it difficult to eat out there-table leans to one side. Need a map of complex-security told me "we've been out for a while". With these exceptions, and better knowledge to prepare, I would recommend property-it served my family well and gave us each space. Beautiful island, although a hard walk to beach for older residents.

There were some small things that need fixing, and there was a problem with the septic system. Management took care of that immediately. My major disappointment was in the availability of grocery stores. Of course the owners can do nothing about that.

There were issues with certain areas.Broken bottom drawer in refrigerator and it was put in wrong so difficult to take out. Dining room lights (2 didn't work)we replaced them. Metal table on deck with broken, rusted legs. Two bedrooms had broken shades, broken bed poster. Dead bugs on 2nd floor.

Repair people came promptly to fix dining room chairs, but the easy chairs and couches were quite soiled. Those items took away from the overall nice condition of the property....freshly painted. The sheets and pillow cases were nice and fresh...new. but the covers and bedspreads were rummage sale quality.Just enough wrong to not want to go there next year..

Overall property worked well for the 8 of us .Property is a little older and is in need of some upgrades and maintenance . Floors were very dirty ,one of the 5 bathrooms had very low water pressure. The screened in porch was fantastic, although the deckboards had a lot of nails sticking up . Location was close to the beach and front gate . The water was unpalatable, We ended up buy a lot of drinking water.

Mini Family Reunion

Was in town for a wedding so decided to get a place near the beach with some other family members. We had the best time. The property was amazing. We felt famous for the weekend. The walk to the beach was quick and scenic and of course the beach was gorgeous as always. Can’t wait to rent again!

The only downfall that we had was the stairs company off the livingroom going to the 2nd floor was risky for our little ones. Maybe recommend a retractable baby gate in that spot. That definitely is not something that will keep me from renting this lovely home again. Just something we had to stay on top of. I look forward to renting this house again. In regards to Suncoast company...the company and staff are the best and prices are reasonable. Thats what keeps me a loyal customer every year. Thank you for another great stay.

Each bedroom has a bath which was so convenient. The multiple screened in, covered decks allowed for privacy. I would recommend this home to any family looking for plenty of space, nice pool area, with a leisurely 5 minute walk down a nature trail to the beach.

The house was amazing and offered an expanse of porches for us to enjoy the sunrises, sunsets, and the amazing lightning storms! The kids thoroughly enjoyed the pool as the ocean was still too cold and there was a rip tide warning while there. We really appreciated the little conveniences that made added to our comfort level. The elevator and heated pool were a big plus! The only downside we had was not about the house directly, but we were disappointed to realize that guests aren't allowed to rent golf carts. It would have been nice, but renting bikes for a couple days mostly made up for it.

Loved our family time, but this house was a disaster. DONT STAY HERE.

Reviewer Comments: I did advise suncoast rental the issues I had via email, never heard back from them. 1. The room that had a pull out sofa was missing the small internet box for the TV.2. The queen room next to the bunkbed room the tv doesn't work. I did call and you guys did call and asked me to unplug and restart, but I was at the beach. I did try it, but no luck, I did call you guys to let you know, I was surprised to see that no one came to the house to check it. That was disappointing. There was no tv remote, just cable remoteThis same room as you open closet door in the split the hinges are coming off.The bathroom vent in this room doesn't work.3. The washing machine isn't running through its cycle we went to dry the clothes and there was still water sitting in it. We had to start it over on a different setting for it to run through the cycles.The dining room chairs are awful they are loose and 2 of them feel like it's going to break, they look like they have been repaired several times, that is dangerous. Owners should look into getting better chairs.The 3rd floor screened patio has lots of holes there were wasps all the time we were killing them left and right. Your company sent someone, but all they did was get a can of fly killer and spray them. Didn't look for nests, which there looked to be one on the 2nd floor patio, ashame we couldn't enjoy it more, had to go in because of the wasps. The pool had to be filled up everyday, there is definitely a leak somewhere. The interior pool has cracks and chips on the sides. The pool pump must be on something that vibrates that side of the house. The few times we were on the patio all you hear is a humming. It's annoying!!The house is beautiful and I am not sure if previous guests have complained about the same issues, it can be a great home once things get taken care of. Thank you

My only complaint is that they want you to do all the dishes and put them away before you leave, but there was no dish soap there. You have to make sure you budget time to run the dishwasher and be able to put dishes away before you leave.
