Very rustic and old school setting, transported me back to the days of ol'e, complete with creaking wooden floors. Loved it, next time through the area will definitely be staying there again.

I give a total of 4 stars (out of 5) The staff was exceptional and the room was spotless. VERY clean, VERY comfortable. Staff was super helpful and friendly, especially the lady working the front desk. Free coffee 24/7 was an added bonus. Location was safe and quiet. My only knock would be no microwave in the room (not a big deal really) and the Wi-Fi was incredibly slow. We only got about 3 mbps which is VERY slow. We were able to stream on our devices, with some buffering, but my son's video games lagged quite a bit, if they would even load at all. This wasn't a great issue, because we weren't in the room except for at night. Faster Wi-Fi and/or Smart tv's would turn my 4 stars into 5! With that being said, at this price point, with the room and staff as great as they were, even with the slow WiFi, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again, and with family in the area, we probably will.

9th stay here, and first bad visit, so I’ll come back, and hope this is an 0utlier. Fire alarm went off twice, so that may have disrupted them, but I woke up to no breakfast, a locked door that was supposed to be open, and nobody at the desk when I left at 8:00.

Don’t pass this by!!!!
What can I say about this place that would even come close to doing it justice?? What a gorgeous hotel! All the little touches that made you feel like you were staying at a friend’s home. The service was incredible, accommodations were gorgeous yet homey and comfortable. Bathroom was nothing short of luxurious. I’m sure it’s much busier at different times of the year but mid January was very chill and quiet and I got the extra bonus of beautiful snow on the day I was heading home. Coffee bar, complimentary breakfast brought to the room each morning, attached restaurant (the shrimp tacos were life changing!) adult game room…not to mention all the reclaimed wood in the rooms from the pre-existing apartments. Wrought iron and wood fixtures. Will DEFINITELY be back!

Very nice hotel! Love the theme of the rooms. Attached restaurant is excellent and prices are very reasonable. Nice bakery across the street with soups and sandwiches and ice cream along with pastry and dessert.

Wonderful hotel. We stayed here for the Oxbow ultra the weekend after Thanksgiving. Room was clean. There is a restaurant downstairs. It was decorated for Christmas! Would definitely stay here again!

I guess it’s one of the nicer hotels in the area but it was impossible to sleep at any time of day or night because of the paper thin walls, floors and ceilings in combination with the constant stomping, yelling, scraping/rolling sounds, TV volume, etc… I can say that I left feeling less relaxed than I did coming in. If you need to stay in this area, I would recommend Bristol or Abingdon area hotels - they’re close enough to still get into the SWVA area relatively quickly and easily if needed.

Great hotel
The hotel was so cute and clean, especially for the price. It had a lot to offer and the staff we met were all so kind. Parking was also easy and the location of the hotel was close to a lot of shops, restaurants, etc. we will definitely be staying again.

Charming place
The hotel was very charming, just like the town St Paul. The people are friendly and helpful. The restaurant located on the ground floor was very convenient and serve good food. Overall a very good place to stay.

Amazing!!
Great stay! The people were super friendly. Hotel was spotless, bed was comfy. The restaurant in the lobby has great Mexican. The BBQ restaurant across the street has the best ribs, cobbler and The Heart attack!! There is also a little bakery across the street with the best sweets and breakfast. This place was an A++!

Very nice boutique hotel in a quiet little town. The hotel is in a historic, 100 year old building that has been nicely renovated with storefronts at street level. Our room was huge with a nice sitting area, big bathroom, and very comfortable bed. I like that they incorporated some of the old items into the decor to give an edgy modern feel. Although breakfast offerings were minimal, presentation was unique and fun. We would definitely stay there again, would even go a bit out of our way to do so. Highly recommend.

This was one of the most exceptional places I have ever stayed. It was a really neat place with nice, clean, unique rooms. Free breakfast snacks was a great touch, and the Mexican restaurant next door was very good. We loved this place and my 14 year old son wants to come back! Staff was friendly and there are some cool shops within walking distance (coffee shop, breakfast/pastry shop, and more).

I don't know the dynamics involved, but this is one of several (many?) buildings in downtown St. Paul, that's recently been remodeled into something new. The vibe in town is very calm and upbeat, with friendly people and great service everywhere we went.

Stayed on 2nd previous, 3rd floor previous both were excellent, 106 this time got woke up by noise twice thru the night buy sounds.overall would stay again but recommend 2nd floor room, 3rd floor room

This hotel is beautiful. The decorations were so tasteful. There is a restaurant conveniently located downstairs, the staff is kind and attentive, the nearby trails are beautiful, and the rooms were very clean.
