We did not have a good experience. Our room was changed that morning to a smaller room but for more money. They said our room was still available, but for more money than Expedia confirmed for us 3 weeks earlier. someone canceled it and changed it to the smaller room on of near the day we checked in. Expedia didn’t do it and we didn’t do it so it had to have been the hotel. Our room was broken so they moved us to another room. That’s room did not have electricity at the bedside and the phones didn’t work. They kept trying to reschedule maintenance to come up, but we just wanted to enjoy our trip and not wait for maintenance. It should’ve been fixed before we got there. I kept having to run downstairs to talk to the front desk because the phones didn’t work. I counted The young man at the desk, saw my frustration and offered to comp is a full day. I trusted him and didn’t ask for it in writing so when we checked out, they said they couldn’t do it because they didn’t believe me and said he probably was just comping you for the day rate of 30 some dollars. I said no he said we would only City he probably was just be charged for five nights, not six nights. The said no way. The staff and the property outside were very nice, but the game room was closed. All the video machines were gone there was no mention of that on the website. The glass door was locked and the sign on the door said game room closed sorry for the inconvenience. Love Clearwater, but it could have been better.
