Family of Six - Spring Break (High School)
March 2024 - My wife and I brought our four high school age kids (3 boys & 1 girl) to St. Thomas for their spring break. While there were some logistical challenges with our flights, Don's property was perfect for our family, and Don was great to work with, both before and during our stay. The condo is located in a quiet cove/bay about a 4 minute drive to the town of Red Hook.
It is a third (top) floor unit with a large deck overlooking the tennis courts, pool, and view of sailboats anchored in the bay; we spent a lot of time on the deck, making use of the large round table big enough to accommodate our family, and made use of the grill for a couple of dinners. The main floor has two bedrooms and two baths, along with the well-stocked kitchen, and family room with a smart TV. The upstairs loft area has three beds and a bathroom with shower. So, lots of open space making for a very comfortable stay.
Don was/is a great host - providing lots of valuable information about the islands and logistics before the trip. He was very accommodating and flexible with our travel issues, and went above-and-beyond what I've experienced with any other VRBO host (and with our large family, we utilize this method of vacationing on the regular. And anytime I had a question, Don was prompt in responding.
A few notes about the island - it is beautiful; food is expensive; driving can be challenging; Red Hook is fun; Charlotte Amalie is not a place to be after 5 pm; St. John Island is nice too.
