I was honestly scared to stay here because a few reviews said it was an expensive air bnb. I say no and it’s not run down. In fact it was lovely. However where they fail is not extending front desk coverage to evening hours. Meet us greet us make us feel welcome. You lose an opportunity here. Also breakfast fo the early birds and business travelers please start breakfast earlier and give us a fighting chance to eat. I never got to try the breakfast. Don’t cut corners. This is a beautiful lovely inn. It won’t take much to kick it up a notch.

Amazing and welcoming hosts to a beautifully presented inn --- great rooms and views of green surroundings. We felt pampered to spend a few nights here. Don't miss the great breakfast that is above the standard fare at regular hotels.

Great area- private entrance. Room was nicely decorated, comfortable bed and gas fireplace. Breakfast was tasty with courteous staff member. All areas were clean and well maintained. Stay was enjoyable and we hope to have the opportunity to return sometime if in the area.

Lovely inn with great breakfast options included. Quiet yet walkable to many restaurants & shops. Wonderful staff. Be aware, there isn’t 24/7 staff. If u want that, got to hotel chain. This is a boutique b&b

Had a wonderful time at this beautiful Inn . The rooms were spacious , beautifully decorated. Nice towels , lines and very quite . The Inn was charming & Picturesque!!! Shops , restaurants were a short 10 min walk . The Inn Keepers were just fabulous and great energy and vibes . Wonderful breakfast down in the kitchen area . Fantastic! Will definitely be returning and knowing this is a beautiful place away from home .

We’ve been coming to the Stanton House Inn every few months for the past two years and just love it. It makes an excellent alternative to the bland anonymity of a hotel, being small enough to feel cozy, and yet sufficiently “hands off” to allow for a good sense of privacy. The ground floor has three living rooms, where you can sit, relax, read, and even work, without the goldfish-bowl feeling of a regular hotel lobby. Rooms are very clean, and beds really comfortable. (I happened to be in lobby when cleaning staff came in—three young women exuding good cheer and energy with every movement.) But this place is not for those who want full service (e.g., there’s no staff on site after 4 PM on most days). Also, this being a house rather than a hotel, not every room is the same in terms of convenience.
