"The cabin was set in a quiet remote setting 17 miles from Stanley Idaho. The cabin was more than large enough for the four of us plus our dogs. The wood stove heated the entire cabin and lasted must of the day with one setting. It also has a propane stove in the lower sitting area that starts with a thermostat. There is also separate heating in each bedroom and bathroom. The two separate living rooms were nice. Both bedrooms had comfortable beds plus TV in each room. The cabin had a nice gas...

"We love the location. The home itself was nice and beautiful, but the fireplace did not work. It got turned on and then wouldn't shut off on its own remotefor it wouldnot work. Had to get the fireplace shut completely off because it was getting way too hot. Did not get to use the fireplace at all but the heaters worked.The home was still cozy!"

"This was our very first experience with a vacation rental, and it could not have been better! We loved the cabin we stayed in. Everything was clean and tidy. It was home away from home. The owners were responsive when we messaged them. Nothing went wrong, everything worked properly. The owners thought of every little thing that we would want or need while staying there. "We’re the generation that has aged out of tent camping at Redfish after 50 years. The kids still have campsites at Point, but having a real bed and bathroom was a huge upgrade for us. The house was perfect for us. We saw wildlife roaming along Valley creek while we had our coffee then off to Redfish for the day. Thank you."

"The only reason I did not give five stars for the condition is as you can imagine this is an old established property that's been in business in a small mountain community for many years. They simply don't have the resources to update and remodel like some of the fancier big name chains. If the Hilton is what you are expecting when you come to Challis, well than better you just stay home in the city. This place was just fine for me! Clean, quiet, and comfortable along with owners who are extremely friendly and helpful. "
