“I dislike giving bad reviews (if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all) but this is probably the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. When we first pulled up to hotel, we could see that the building is obviously neglected. There was a police car with two officers coming out of the lobby, so not a great first impression. The carpet in the hallway to our room was stained, dated and so worn there were bumps. The room itself looked like the minimum cleaning had been done. ……

“Rooms were clean, beds were comfortable, property was pretty well maintained, (The grass near the water and the beach area was covered in goose poop. Couldn't really walk there or enjoy the area near the water because of it). It was a good place to stay with our dogs... lots of space to walk and sniff (other than near the water). It is an older hotel, and a bit outdated. The door to our room was a bit difficult to close. I wish the free coffee was available all day (not just in the mornings), or……

“When we got to the property the room we were given was not cleaned so we went back to the manager and he did give us a different room. The manager spends more time away from the desk than at the desk there is usually a sign that says back in a few mins. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and the pillows were very flat. The breakfast was not very good however the make your own waffles were good but there was very limit variation of foods. We stayed for 4 days and were told that they do not come……

“There's not to much unique at all about the property. The property is pretty run down. Strange people hanging out in parking lot. My room door wouldn't lock with a simple close, I had to slam it like 5 or 6 times to get it to lock. Never felt safe at night in my room with the door situation.”

“Poor hygiene, no change of towels, no shower gel, not enough toilet paper (go to the front desk to ask for it), but the service attitude of the front desk is OK.”

“St aff was friendly and helpful. Bathrooms and showers were very clean! The grounds are well-maintained and the cabin was clean and easy to locate. We only stayed for one night and left early in the morning, but would stay here again!”

“Friendly staff, great breakfast and social hour, big rooms and beautiful setting next to the river. Quiet and away from everything yet close enough to anything you want. We will return!”

“Booked 3 rooms with 2 queen size beds. All 3 rooms have musky smell. Bathrooms are missing shower gel. One room with broken window blind. One room was missing coffee maker and dirty (un-vacuumed) carpet upon checked in. Despite addressing problems to staff (who was nice and friendly), none was fixed.”
