“It was the perfect little house for our stay in Maine. We loved the location - much quieter than places closer to the island, and there was a lot to do right nearby on the schoodic peninsula. The house had everything we needed to be comfortable when we weren’t out exploring! ”

The host was outstanding-- she even started a fire in the wood stove for us so that the cabin would be toasty when we arrived after a day of hiking in Acadia. The place itself is exactly as described and if anything even nicer. I wish I could live there! The lake was gorgeous, the beds comfortable and the stars were amazing. Can't wait to go back! ”

“It’s name says it all. A perfectly sized, literal “bed room” in the middle of the woods. The fire pit had wood all ready for me to use. If you were to come in the winter, the tiny home has a wood stove to use as well.”

“This chalet was perfect for our stay on Mt Desert. Spectacular views. Lots of room to spread out. Away from the crowds, but still a quick drive into Bar Harbor. Everything was clean and well maintained. The owner was very communicative and gave clear instructions. Would definitely stay here again. ”

“Beautiful views to set along the water right out the back patio. Quiet, secluded and met all our needs. The new Acadia visitor center just opened about 12 minutes away you can catch the free shuttle from there to Bar Harbor, hiking trails etc. Recommend, wish we had stopped the first day to find this out. ”

“Nice place and really enjoyed it. But can't get five star because it was shown at wrong location on VRBO app (location is a very important item) enhance was very confusing to find. It is on the north side of the island not by downtown. Also water pressure was low and would turn off upstairs shower to trickle if others in use.”

“Very clean and fully stocked. It was close to parks and great food. We loved the location. Laundry on site was so handy! Our space was warm so we ended up buying a fan to sleep more comfortably. The AC was pulled prior to our visit. Keep this in consideration if you book early fall. ”

“I loved it! I used this as a base camp to go hiking in Acadia NP, and it was perfect for that, but I also could have spent my entire two days at the property and been very content. As it was, I slept deeply on my air mattress in the loft and watched the beautiful sunrises while sitting at the shore and while eating breakfast at the table inside. On the second morning, I also explored the entire lake with the host's canoe. It was quiet and serene, listening to a pair of loons that I was able to……

“The location was great to walk to almost everything. Was able to take a trolley to the park for a tour which we would highly recommend. The room was very clean. Shower was great lots of pressure. The gifts that were left in the place was very thoughtful. Would definitely recommend for anyone we know coming to Maine - bar harbor. ”
