「A small group of friends, myself, and my two dogs stayed here to watch the solar eclipse. The spacious backyard was the perfect place for eclipse viewing and the small town was close enough to Lake Placid for a morning shopping trip but far enough away to avoid the traffic. The house itself has GORGEOUS views, a relaxing hot tub (perfect for after a long hike), and a fully equipped kitchen. Overall it was the perfect home away from home to spend a long weekend.」

「Every year my family and I visit the Lake Champlain area, and this year we decided to try this home in Port Kent. It was very spacious and clean. The neighborhood is quiet, and it is a pleasant walk to the lake, or to the marsh nature preserve nearby. Port Kent is also close to Ausable Chasm, and to Ausable Brewing Company for that matter. It was a very enjoyable stay here, and plan to return in the future.」

「Great place for a family. Convenient to Ausable Chasm, some nice restaurants and a great state day use facility. Great fenced yard and there were s’more sticks which was convenient. Everything felt very clean and the check in was very easy. It was very quiet inside and the WiFi worked very well for streaming Netflix.」

「We have rented this cottage in September 2023 to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday with friends. The Owner was very accessible, answered all my questions very fast before and while we were there. The place is beautiful, everything you need to cook is there, and the view from the kitchen and living room is amazing! The master bedroom is beautiful, private and has many windows so you can see the lake when you wake up in the morning. I will definitely go back!」

「We visited in early April to see the solar eclipse. The house was cozy, cute and comfortable, the kitchen was very well equipped, the views of the lake are lovely, and the eclipse was spectacular. The property is clearly optimal for summer use, and in early spring we couldn't take advantage of all of its amenities and advantages. Would love to come back sometime in warmer weather. 「This home was absolutely lovely, very clean, and spacious. There were little touches like some coffee and tea left out for us. The place was spacious. We were a group of two couples and two teens, and there was enough space so the teens didn’t have to share a room. The view was spectacular of the lake. If we were there in warmer weather, we could have kayaked and enjoyed the fire pit. Would love to visit again.」

「We had a wonderful experience at this property. The beach and dock were everything our little family could have asked for- and all of the water toys were perfection. We had kayaks, paddleboards, paddle boats and canoes at our disposal. Our host took us out on his boat in the afternoon and was a wealth of information. 「We had plenty of room to relax with our family of six after a busy Christmas season. We loved being so close to town and luckily, Lake Placid offered lots of rainy day activities for when we were tired of reading, board games and playing guitar! Would love to come back.」

「Overall positive experience from this property. Pros: Beautiful cabin in a great location on the Ausable River. Close enough to all of the things you would need or want from your stay while also giving you the privacy you're looking for. Cons: I believe the cleaner did not do a thorough cleaning of the master bedroom which was disappointing. We had to re-wash all of the bedding upon our arrival.」

「We were only at the house for an overnight stop on a trip to Montreal. House was clean and the hot tub was nice. We couldn't get the sauna to work. The worst thing was the plastic mattress pads on all the beds. They were horrible. Made noise every time you moved and made sleeping extremely hot. I've stayed at a number of houses, and this is first time I've experienced anything like this. Other than that, it was a nice place. 」
