"The room was clean and spacious. Most of the staff was great. The rooms stayed cool and comfortable. Breakfast was good. The same thing everyday but a good start to the day. The pool had a lot of wasp around it. Something needs to be done about that. Nest where everywhere around the building. Beds are super comfortable."

"The hotel was nice and seemed clean but as soon as you enter there was a musty smell. The rooms also smelled musty. The worst part and the reason why we wanted to stayed there was the indoor pool and the hot tub. The water in the pool had a weird smell like still water there were a few bugs and leaves in it. I told the stuff about it and they said they were gonna clean it, and they did but the smell in the pool the next day was still there. The hot tub was not working, and that was a disappointment. We wanted to stay there for the indoor pool and hot tub. The whole stuff was so nice and the breakfast was also good. The first day I came down around 8:30am and everything was still there and was hot and nice. The second day which was Monday, there was a grumpy older lady (short/blonde) who didn’t even acknowledged us, I had arrived there at the sane time 8:30 and by 8:40 she was already picking stuff up like the fruit and the yogurt, and while I was serving myself some food she was there standing by me like in a rush, that made me feel uncomfortable. My mom came for breakfast at 8:50 i had already put eggs potatoes and biscuit on one plate and some pastries jellies and butter in another plate and that seemed to piss her off. She taught I was gonna eat it all myself, mind you I had 2 kids with me and my mom. We rushed to eat our food and tried to leave cause she was sweeping and mopping there and we just felt unwelcome. She didn’t say anything to us but her attitude was rude."

"This house and pool are huge, so if you’re looking for room for a large group, this is a good find. We had a slight issue with a wasp nest (it happens, it’s Texas) and Randy, the host, was out with wasp spray within 30 minutes. Always quick to respond to any question I had and the check in and check out process was seamless."

"Randy is exceptionally responsive. We had a drip in a bathroom when the A/c unit got plugged up and found a wasp nest under a railing in the back and he came over and quickly took care of both issues. The house was clean and everything worked. One thing I will mention, because it was unclear to me from the photos. There is no bathroom on the first floor for the 2 bedrooms. There are 2 bathrooms that are only accessed through a bedroom. That leaves just one bathroom for everyone else. We had 9 people and sometimes it was an issue. I can't imagine how much larger groups manage it."

Walk Out To Lake Access, Sleep 30. Great for Multi-Family, Reunions, or Retreats

"Overall stay was very good for our family reunion over the 4th of July. The neighbors put on quite the fireworks display! We were a little cramped for beds because some older adults could not make the pullout couches work for them. I would definitely only put kids on those beds. Kitchen was well appointed, grill was not clean upon arrival due to no grill brush being available. Only other cleaning issue was the floor looked clean upon arrival, but everyone’s feet were black on the bottom that went barefoot in the house? not sure what caused that ?? Everyone had fun in the water, I discussed with host that the listing shows a kayak and canoe being on site . She was going to fix that, they can be rented in the area, but not included with the house rental. Overall, I would give it an 8/10 score. 10/10 if the pullout couches had regular mattresses to put on the frames. Communication was easy, and one small plumbing leak was fixed immediately upon arrival. Very easy check in. I know I pointed out a few problems, but that is just to help future renters, we still had a great time. THANKS!"
