Cozy Cabin Among the Trees - Rustic Charm, Modern Comforts, 26 Secluded Acres

Nestled among the trees on 26 acres, this cozy 700 square foot cabin offers a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle. A 1/4-mile wooded driveway leads to this charming retreat, where you can relax on the porch swing or take a nap in the hammock while watching deer and turkey.
Filled with games and books, this cabin is perfect for those rainy days. Located just 2 miles from the Quemahoning Reservoir, you'll be minutes away from fishing, mountain biking, kayaking, and paddleboarding. The Laurel Highlands area offers plenty of outdoor adventures, including visits to the Flight 93 Memorial and nearby state parks. You're also just a short drive from Laurel Mountain Ski Resort, Seven Springs, and Hidden Valley.
Please note, this cabin is rustic and has been updated with modern amenities, but does not have a TV or WiFi. There is cell service, but we encourage you to disconnect and immerse yourself in nature during your stay. The loft area is off limits to guests and the spiral staircase leading up to it is not to be used.
The driveway is dirt and gravel and requires an AWD or 4x4 vehicle during the winter months. Drive slowly and enjoy the scenic journey up the small gravel hill to the cabin.
Absolutely no pets are permitted in the cabin.

Perfect cabin in the woods

This cabin was adorable inside and out. It had everything we needed and it was so clean. The owner communicated often to make sure we were doing OK. It was the best experience and we will definitely stay here again if we are in the area.

Lovely Honeymoon Location

We very much enjoyed spending our week-long honeymoon in this beautiful, cozy, and secluded location! The porch, fire pit, hammock, and chairs at the top of the field were features we really enjoyed. We also enjoyed the easy access to the Quemahoning Reservoir where we did biking and canoeing, and short drive to the Flight 93 Memorial. Thanks for a lovely place to stay and a do-again experience!

Seclusion at its best.

Raindrops on the leaves, chirps of birds in the distance a retreat met and surpassed all expectations for this retreat. Never seen anything cleaner. Pleasant decor and comfy beds. Great host.

Perfect Getaway Spot

This cabin was one of our top 3 VRBO places we’ve stayed. Secluded but close to stores, restaurants, etc. We went to the Flight 93 Memorial and Ponfeigh Distillery. The memorial is so emotional but also so important to visit when you’re in the area. Ponfeigh is a fun spot. Live music and food trucks on the weekend. Chris is the best to work with. Answered all our messages quickly and thought of everything that you could want/need. The cabin was immaculate, comfortable beds and furniture. So cozy. Loved the porch swing. We would absolutely stay there again and highly recommend this cabin.

Weekend Getaway

Secluded but still within reasonable distance of things to do, if you even want to leave. We enjoyed the fire pit, wood burning stove, porch, and walking about the property. Chris is super responsive and was so nice. We're already talking about coming back next year.

Excellent in all respects! I absolutely love this cabin! Cleanliness, seclusion, the hammock and the view from the chairs behind the cabin! I saw two fawns with their Momma and a red tail hawk! Absolutely one of my favorite place to unwind, relax and rejuvenate ! Put this cabin on your list!

Excellent, stay!

I could not agree more with all the positive comments made by the previous visitors to the cabin. It was clean, comfortable, and close enough to the ski mountains. The property was beautiful. The cabin was rustic. Just a really good property to visit. Property manager was responsive. I would definitely recommend this property.

Beautiful cabin in the woods

Absolutely amazing stay!! The property is exactly as described. It was peaceful, secluded and exactly what we were looking for. You may note that some have expressed concerns with the driveway to the cabin. Rest assured, even in a 2wd car you CAN make it up the driveway, just drive slowly as the host says and you will be fine. Thank you Chris for allowing us to stay at your magnificent property, we will be back!

My fiancé & I were on a 2 week road trip & while on the road we were looking for a place to stay that was away from all the hustle and bustle & this was it! What an absolute gem of a place, only regret is that we only stayed one night. Highly recommend, just a heads up though if you were planning on stocking up on goods at the Walmart that’s about 20min away they do not sell alcohol or beer 😂 — gotta go down to the sheetz gas station

Driveway is a little intimidating, but going slow is the key. The cabin is lovely and comfortable. Everything you need is there except a microwave, I’m not a big fan, so OK with me. Kitchen is well stocked with spices, silverware and dishes. My biggest compliment is that I didn’t want to leave! Could have stayed weeks, once I got used to be unconnected. Great place!

This is our second time at this cabin, and both times the stay was amazing! Cabin is as described. Sitting on the porch we saw deer and turkey. You know it is a great place to stay when you are genuinely sad to leave. Thank you Chris for allowing us to stay once again. The cabin is the perfect base camp for all of our adventures!

Tranquil Retreat

The property was beautiful and so peaceful! There was a lot of places along the way you could stop at I.e Flight 93 memorial or Shawnee Park, but the cabin was enough for me! The trail to the cabin was a little rockier than i expected, by my little Nissan and I made it, so no harm done. I definitely recommend this place to unwind.

Just what we needed

We originally planned to stay 3 nights, but we loved it so much, we extended our stay 2 extra days! The space was perfect for my sister, brother-in-law, and me. The table seated 4, and the living room space had a beautiful handmade rocker, a reclining couch, and another recliner. The bedroom had a queen bed and a twin bed. Speaking of beds, the beds were so comfy, and I slept so peacefully.The view from the top of the hill behind the cabin was incredible, too. My brother-in-law has limited mobility, but we were able to drive our 4WD to the top.We explored the covered bridges (found a driving tour in a magazine at the cabin), and we also visited the Flight 93 memorials close by.This was probably my favorite place we’ve stayed on vacation.

Best Weekend in the Woods!

This was such a lovely stay- VERY isolated as advertised and the CLEANEST place I’ve ever rented on a site like this. It was immaculate! Communication with the host was great and we had a really awesome time here. Can’t wait to come back!!!

Peaceful, charming and cozy

My family and I enjoyed our stay in this cozy, charming cabin while in the area for a weekend event. It was the perfect place to return to and unwind after a long day of activities. The property is peaceful, very clean and well equipped. Communication with the host was excellent. We will definitely return for a weekend getaway to simply enjoy the cabin and it's surroundings.
