“The location is great. We were able to walk downtown for dinner and some shopping. The room was basic but clean and comfortable. We appreciated being able to bring our dog to Gettysburg with us. The hotel was very pet friendly. Breakfast was great. The air conditioner in our room was noisy but other than that, we have no complaints. We will definitely stay there again.”

“South Carolina - very nice room, well maintained and clean with a 3rd floor view of the Main Street. Note that all rooms require steps to 2nd & 3rd floor. Good location, close to everything. Owners need to review definition of “B&B”. We have never stayed at a B&B before that charged extra for breakfast. We arrived at 5pm, left at 10 am; never met any employee or owner. Strange!”

“Staff is friendly and willing to offer recommendations of nearby places to visit. Establishment was clean and well maintained. They have a beautiful display of live plants throughout the lobby providing a lovely welcoming feeling. I appreciated their large display of menus of nearby restaurants. If I visit Gettysburg again I will be using this location again.”

“Great ambiance in a historic house with modern conveniences. Additionally it was a great deal economically especially as compared to the hotels nearby.”

“The front desk staff were very friendly. The room offered bigger space than expectations. The whole experience would be better if there is an available free parking lot.”

“Great staff. But, updates are definitely needed. No USB ports. Short staffed when it comes to housekeeping personnel. They need help. What I do like, is this Super 8’s location. Centrally located.”

“Great location and large room, downside was no staff on site; we needed to call to get someone from the next door diner to open the door. No welcome or further context. Also no staff when we checked out. Rooms are nice and spacious, the outdoors patio and garden are a great opportunity to relax in, but is current quite empty; if they would make this a bit more cosy and welcoming it would be a lot better.”

“The motel was really dated. Didn’t feel like it was very clean as the sinks were rusty, shower & toilet were not much better. Wouldn’t have stayed here if I hadn’t prepaid. Lesson learned! The breakfast was decent but I would’ve paid for breakfast for a more updated stay. Wouldn’t recommend!”

“The hotel was very close to town and Gettyburg national park. Our mattress had a dip on one side. They did flip it and it helped. The breakfast was average with egg patties and sausage, waffles, muffins, bagels, fruit. Not may usb plugs or outlets in room.”

“The breakfast menu was awesome. Amanda is an amazing cook ! I stayed at the Amberson House for 3 nights and was very happy about my experience there. The house its self is a beatiful old home and funished beautifully wth antiques . Everone was very welcoming and friendly. ”
