Very nice caravan. Allowed us to have space. Good parking. Hotel that created Drambuie was walkable. Quiet location. Owner was very helpful. Shower was quite small. But hey its a caravan. Windows had no screens, so if you open the windows to catch the breeze, you also catch bugs flying in. But hey its a caravan.
The van was well equipped, pretty much as described and suited our needs. It could have done with a better clean. The van was in a lovely spot with great views, parking, a private seating area and close to local amenities. The owner was very friendly.
Vert spacious caravan for a family of four. Its more of a portable home. Very cosy and relaxing, enjoyed listening to the rain and pitting on a dvd after a day of hikes on the Isle of Skye. Caravan had an 80s vibe. Lots of bored games for the kids. Everthing you need for kids. Great location after a full days drive.
The caravan is in a nice setting, it's a bit dated but i think is being restored bit by bit as the bathroom for example is brand new.Nice secluded seating area behind the caravan to enjoy dinner al fresco.Good size and very nice owners.Cleaning could be better but was very good in bedrooms and bathroom.
Good amenities close by, with award winning chip shop, excellent sea views & coastal path. Friendly welcoming host James, the caravan having a well equipped kitchen & comfortable beds. Really contributed to our enjoyable stay on the Isle Of Skye, wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.
The check-in process was easy and property manager was and efficient communicator while also giving us privacy. Appreciated the information regarding surrounding attractions and food recommendations. Thank you!
James was an incredibly friendly and helpful host. The caravan was a bit aged but that was clear and as expected from the listing photos. There was actually more space than anticipated, we had 2 adults and 2 kids and it worked well for us. The kitchen had everything we needed. The air freshener smell was a bit overpowering but we were able to have the windows open most of the time which helped.
We knew it wasn’t going to be a fancy place, but was pleasantly surprised to find more room than I imagined. Nice size living room with Tv and lots of DVDs to choose from. Were able to make food in the kitchen. Two separate bedrooms for us two couples. Great water pressure and plenty of hot water. Friendly host. We were pleased to find an affordable place on Skye when all else was booked.

Shabby caravan as a cashcow
If I was living on the Isle of Skye and having enough space around my house I would probably do the same: buying an old 2nd hand shabby caravan for a few thoussnd pounds, put it on my premises, connect it to gas water and electricity and asking Gbp 140.00 for a night. Succes ensured because I,m still one of the cheapest
It is very unhygienic place i had never stayed in my like full of dust and bedbugs bitten in my hand covered with shrubs when entering to the caravan, slippy in front of the front door and everything was unprofessional. Never ever go back
The Caravan is in a good location, in an easy walk to town. Yes, it has a view of the driveway, as in the photos, but you can also see the bay and mountains beyond. The heating is excellent, the beds are comfy and we felt very good here. The kitchen is reasonably well-equiped and is a bonus, as there are few good restaurant options near by. (Do drive up to Pizza in the Skye near Portree; a truck but outstanding pizza). Ideal for two, perhaps four would be a bit of a squeeze. It is an old caravan, maybe 50 years, so it is definitely 'of it's time' as should be expected. James was a really good host; friendly and available if necessary. He helped us with an item left behind, which we really appreciated.
I have several complaints / suggestions for the owner of this caravan. Before we entered the caravan, we were greeted with very dirty mats, that and the side of the caravan could use a power wash.Once we entered the caravan, we were a bit overwhelmed with the smell of damp. To overcome that smell of 'damp', the owner opted to use one of those scented / aroma things that gets plugged into the mains. Horrible. The first thing I did upon entering, opened the windows to allow fresh air in and unplugged that aroma thing plugged into the mains. We were there for three nights and that odor never went away, it was always lingering in the air. If that wasn't bad enough, there was no coffee machine. The radiators could use a fresh coat of paint. This is an old caravan and was probably top of the line in the 1950s. There was plenty of room for our suitcases and we used the second bedroom to store them. The only good thing I can write, the location was excellent. This caravan has lots of potential but that smell of damp has to be removed, not covered up.
It’s a basic trailer caravan across from the water. Convenient for a family of 4 with 2 bedrooms. Shower had good pressure. Nice selection of dvd movies and games in the living room. Pretty view and close to the Isle of Skye bridge and a few shops in Bradford. It’s a bit dated and smells a little moldy, no AC or fan.
