“What a great place! Peaceful and quiet. The cabin was very clean and had all the amenities you could possibly need. Unfortunately it rained all weekend so we couldn’t hang outside by the fire pit but the screened in porch is a nice extension of the home. The hosts reached out to make sure everything was going well and it was. There is a gas station/cafe around the bend and the cafe has really good food, especially for breakfast. The gas station has hunt brothers pizza and that was good as well.……

“The cabin was very neat and well stocked with everything you might need in the kitchen. The natural wood finish inside gave it the feel of a cabin and the view of the mtn ridges was really nice. Part of the property was partly cleared off of trees which made it more open than expected but the leaves were still off the trees, it was March, so it will look more greener in the Spring. The numerous mountains and narrow valleys in the area were a pretty sight to see!”

“The Fox Ridge Mt Cabin is beautiful and comfortable. Its close proximity to great outdoor adventure, golf and downtown Sparta was perfect for a long weekend trip with the family. We all wished we could have stayed longer and will definitely be coming back. Check in and host communications are superb.”

“It was very quiet and peaceful at night and during the day as well. It was nice to have a dishwasher in a cabin. We drove to Grayson Highlands and hiked 2 different days. We went the 2nd day to see the ponies! The hot tub was very relaxing. It was also nice to sit out on the porch on the rocking chairs. “This place had everything we were looking for in a mountain retreat stay. Clean and well appointed with comfortable bed, plenty of room, hot tub was excellent. The fact we could bring our dogs made it even better. Super secluded with the woods surrounding it. Check in and out was a breeze and the property management company was top notch. “This property is very isolated and we deeply enjoyed listening to the river, the rain, and all the birds in the trees surrounding it. If you're into fishing, it looks like this would be a great spot! Otherwise, it's a fantastic house, with great decks and rec-room in a great location. Bugs aren't an issue, as I was worried they might be (being in the trees and so close to the river). “Beautiful property! We enjoyed our stay. House was stocked with everything we needed and more. Beds were comfortable and the views amazing! We enjoyed trout fishing and sitting by the fire. We shopped, visited Grayson Highlands State Park, Mount Jefferson Natural Area, New River State Park and Grandfather Mountain. We fished and many lakes and creeks in Lansing, West Jefferson and Blowing Rock. We shopped in Boone and West Jefferson and visited Ashe County cheese and Mast General Store. What a……

“This is a great location to section hike the AT. The State park is right down the road. The cabin was cozy and had all the kitchen needs for the meals that we cooked. Highly recommend staying here.”

“Overall simple and clean cabin in the woods. Good communication from the host. The listing accurately depicts the cabin interior. The bed was comfortable, nice linens, and very clean. Like some others mentioned, it was a bit close to the neighbors so if you want total privacy its not the place for you. But we lucked out and the place was pretty empty. My only suggestions would be to add a picnic table (or something) on the large deck for outdoor dining (there is a table, no chairs). Also the……

“We came to Virginia from Michigan for our friend to visit with family she hadn’t seen in 12 years they live on Vetrans hwy. this was about as close as we could get a rental. It was wonderful. Had every amenity. Very clean. Well decorated and not broken down like some rentals. Hot tub was lovely. We fished and cooked breakfast but didn’t have enough time to do everything the lodge had to offer. You could easily stay for one or two weeks and stay busy! Our only suggestion would be to provide oil……
