Great little hotel with a fun twist

Lovely hotel, great value, rooms are small but comfortable and cosy. Staff were friendly and helpful. Close to city centre, a short walk along the waterfront.

It's comfortable, if not bad weather

A ship-hotel, 20min-walk from the Central Station. There are no shops near the hotel. The room is clean and quiet, with enough space. Excellent landscape from riverside rooms.

Great stay in beautiful Gothenburg

Enjoyable stay, staff were absolutely fantastic, helpful and friendly. Breakfast was top class. Room was very clean but a little on the smaller side. Would definitely return without hesitation

The hotel is very clean, the staff are very friendly and Breakfast is very tasty with plenty of options. The hotel is centrally located which makes it easy to get around. There is parking at the front of the hotel but WATCH OUT!!! There are no signs saying that you have to pay and I got a parking ticket. There is only one payment machine hiding in the corner. It’s not the hotels fault, the car park is run by the city, but perhaps they could have a notice in reception saying ‘please ensue that you pay for parking’.

We knew when we booked it that it would be a new experience and not a common hotel so we were open to an adventure. The staff are very kind, the facility is clean and there are a lot of extras like tea, coffee water and cookies available throughout the day. The breakfast was excellent with a variety of choices displayed well and kept clean and replenished. It was not air conditioned so we got a fan from the front desk which made the night comfortable. It is very quiet and the area is being built up so plan on walking around blocks of construction but stores and restaurants are within an easy walk.

A fun idea to stay on a boat, but the room was too small for 2 people. If one person stretched out, the other person got an elbow to the eye! Staff were friendly but the room barely had space for the bed. One other quirk is the boat and it's entry point creak and rattle like a kid practising the kettle drum. It would be ok for a single night but if you are going to unpack for a few days, then maybe consider getting a proper room somewhere

The hotel was wonderfully unique, the rooms were very small and you could no longer fold the bunk away so felt a little claustrophobic. The rooms however were clean and serviable for a base. The breakfast was very good and they had tea and cofee and water and biscuits available all time, id have still liked a jettle in my room as it was inconvenient to get dressed to make that first cup of tea in the morning. The rooms were wamr. The hotel is about 20 minutes walk from transport links, and there are no restaurants or shops nearby if you want food or a snack, We had a lovely stay and for the price a short walk was fine. Definitely good for a cheap weekend base. Staff also very friendly and helpful.

Spent nights on the seas

An unusual hotel stay .. for me . A room on a ship. quite cool and comfortable actually. Bed may be small (single) for me but comfy . Staff very helpful n friendly . Breakfast spread was alright but perhaps they can introduce some novelties cos saw the (almost) same food for 3 mornings. Hahahahha is my bad . I stayed 3 nights . Is about 15 mins walk from central station . Is ok for me. or if u want , take bus from central … one stop only . It was very windy when I stayed (Jan 2025). .. so at times I really could felt a bit “swaying” but so cool

Boat hotel Gullbergs kaj

A very nice way of spending a night. The room was small but it’s on an old boat so that’s okay. The bathroom was fresh but a bit dark in the shower ( no light ). I would recommend asking for a room with water view. Our room was just above the entrance and that was a huge minus. All night we heard the gangway squeaking and in the morning 6:30 the garbage truck came to empty the bins. There’s a lot of outdoor spaces. Really nice, but you’re not allowed to bring alcohol. So no bubbles on the sun deck. The breakfast was nice with all the usuals. The kitchen is open til 21:45 with a tasty menu. The location is perfect. Close to the city centre.

It was a really fun experience to stay on a ship that’s been converted into a hotel, and you didn’t feel like you were on the water at all which I appreciated. There were some nice views from the deck and it had the perfect seating area for watching the sunset. I had a ‘city view’ room which looked over the car park, so next time I’d definitely opt for the sea view room. The room was clean and an acceptable size for me and my friend to share. The bathroom was good, but the shower cubicle felt a little cramped due to its odd shape. The hotel is about a 15-20 minute walk to the city centre, and there are scooters/bikes available to rent directly outside. I believe there were also buses stopping nearby. The staff were all incredibly welcoming and answered all our questions. They provided a safe place to keep our luggage before check-in/after check-out which was really helpful. Breakfast had a decent selection, with the buffet included in the booking. It never got too busy, but also had a good atmosphere. I’d definitely stay here again!
