The Oconto River Retreat was exactly what we were looking to experience for our 20th wedding annicersary! We wanted a quiet, peaceful, picturesque location and this property did not disappoint. We appreciated the extra touch to help us celebrate as well! Not only was the inside of the property clean, well maintained, and comfortable, the outdoor screened in porch, fire pit and patio with swing, right by the river, were awesome! Todd, the property owner, was extreamly responsive and was right next door and available for anything we needed. We chose to bring in our groceries instead of eating out and appreciated the fully stocked kitchen and gass grille. This property, inside and outside, was everything it was advertised to be and more! We cant wait to book our next stay. Thank you for a wonderful weekend. J&B

We had an amazing time! The photos don’t do the property justice. The river and yard were excellent and great for families. The house was very clean and recently renovated with everything we needed. Beds were comfortable with nice bedding. Checkin and communication were easy and it was lovely having the hosts next door in case we needed anything.

Great river retreat

The property is very clean and well kept. Beds are comfy too. The river was clean and refreshing. Caught an 18 inch smallmouth just upstream from the property. Great views and we all loved the big screen room, but to my surprise there were no mosquitos. None! The owner is very accomodating and will gladly answer any questions you have. Will be back

My dad and his fishing partner said that the property was beautiful, well kept, and an amazing place to stay on the Octonto River. We have strong family ties to Chute Pond and the area and this location was well priced, and easy to access for someone who has a hard time getting around.

Amazing!

This place was very clean and the hosts are very accommodating! They are right off the Oconto River and our very first cast we caught a bigger trout. They supplied all the firewood with a beautiful fire pit very close to the water. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely book here again.

Serene Riverside Retreat

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this property! The frontage on the river is simply stunning, providing a perfect backdrop for relaxation. The firepit was fantastic for cozy evenings, and the spacious screened-in porch was a great spot to unwind. During our fall stay, we particularly enjoyed watching the fog rise over the river as the sun came up – it was a magical sight. The owners thoughtfully provided a coffee maker with coffee and creamer for our 2-day stay, which was a lovely touch. We also appreciated the nice, dry firewood for the firepit. Although we didn’t use the gas grill, it was present and set up nicely. Delightful details like night lights in key areas and outdoor motion lighting added to the overall comfort and convenience. Additionally, the property was well-equipped with a hairdryer, soap, and shampoo. The kitchen was well-furnished with plenty of silverware, making meal preparation easy. The owners clearly want your stay to be as enjoyable as possible, even providing an umbrella and raincoat for use. The driveway is wide enough for two vehicles and is sufficient for a full-length truck and a 17’ trailer, which was very convenient. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking to enjoy nature and tranquility.

Beautiful Retreat on the River

This property is beautiful, clean, well maintained, and definitely worth visiting time and time again. Listing is accurate. Note there is no washing machine, just a dryer as listed. Kitchen is minimally stocked, so keep that in mind if you get groceries and plan on cooking in the unit. Owners are very friendly and accommodating!

Memorial Weekend Hunting Trip

2 friends and I decided to head to the Mountain area for a late season hunting trip. We found this property and booked it because it was in a great location for us being close to a lot of public land. The cabin and property are beautiful. Very clean, comfortable, and the river flowing out back was great. The screen porch on the side was awesome for sitting in the couple times we had rain so we could still sit outside and enjoy nature. The owners are top notch with communication and having everything ready. I would 100% recommend to anyone and will definitely stay here if we are in the area again.

Great getaway to recharge

We had a nice relaxing time. We had everything we needed for our stay. We were very comfortable here. We took advantage of the screened in porch morning and evening enjoying the river view. We went to see Big Smokey Falls, along the way there we were privileged to see about 50plus Sand Cranes. Went to the Mountain Lookout Tower and climbed to the top and had the best view of the beautiful fall colors you could ask for. Thank you again and we look forward to our next stay.

Beautiful, relaxing getaway

The property and home are very well maintained. We loved having the river in the backyard. We floated on the rafts and enjoyed every moment! The home was cozy and quaint. Plenty of room for our family of 4. The porch was used every morning for a relaxing cup of coffee. Thank you for having us. We will be back ❤️

River Getaway

We had a wonderful stay. We came to ride the trails on our side by side and ended up enjoying the river just as much. The place is very clean and is fully stocked with everything you might need. The owner was in the place next door and extremely friendly. He gave us food recommendations, helped us navigate the trails and helped us take tubes down the river. We loved sitting by the campfire while we watched our kids play in the river. We hope to return for another fun family weekend.

Peaceful and perfect!

I can't say enough about this little piece of heaven! My husband and I just needed a break from our crazy busy lives and this was it! Clean, comfy with beautiful scenery. And most of all quiet! This may sound silly, but the sheets on the bed were amazing! I had to find a tag and order myself a set 😁 The owners were excellent to work with and communication was easy and quick! Thank you for sharing your place we cant wait to come back!

Immaculate Property!

House and property were beautiful and very clean! Loved dipping my feet into the water behind the house and relaxing in the porch/ backyard swing :) . Owner was super helpful and told us were we could grab a bit to eat. Super grateful for the stay it was a magical place!
