“We had an enjoyable stay on the houseboat. The bed was comfortable, and the accommodations had everything we needed. We even made spaghetti the first night for dinner since we arrived later than planned. The area is private, we only saw a few people and those we did see gave a friendly hello if they didn't stop to chat with us. For anyone wondering about the movement of the boat, it is very stable. The boat is docked in a channel off the main river so not a lot of boat traffic and the currents……

“This property is great for relaxing if you want a quiet getaway.It's in a rural area but only 25 minutes to the city.It's very clean and fully equipped. We had a problem opening the locked box to get the key but the host immediately drove to the home to open it for us.If you have a large family this home is perfect for that.”

“Home was just what we needed for our family’s stay for a wedding. Stylish and comfortable beds and furniture. Even though we didn’t cook, kitchen was well appointed. Front porch was nice for coffee in the morning, shady and quiet. Convenient to both restaurants and our wedding venues we could have pick a better location.”

“We had a great stay at Tina's property. Her house was immaculate and had everything you would need on a visit. Plenty of sheet, towels, shampoo and condiments. The beds were very comfortable as well and the backyard was beautiful.”

“My teenage son and I stayed here for a 4 day swim meet at SwimRva which was conveniently about 5 minutes away. The basement apartment was very clean and extremely well put put together!. The apartment was comfortable and my son certainly enjoyed the video games on the giant tv! Sharon was extremely communicative and even left out snacks for us every morning! I would highly recommend this property!”

“We were notified 10 min before leaving that there was a mix up in reservation. We had to be put elsewhere or cancel. A total bait and switch scheme. Dirty, couldn't even use one of the beds. Just awful. If this is an example of what VRBO has for property "landlords" VRBO is not doing their follow up well. I am fearful of using VRBO again”

“Excellent location! Walking to anything. Very near the base. Nice neighborhood so sitting in the backyard was enjoyable and homey. Lots of considerate amenities are provided. With a baby along, it was a gift to have room darkening drapes in one room. Naps were great!”

“We had a great stay at the Happy Place and wished we'd had more time to explore the local area. The house was very clean, and spacious with lots of modern equipment. We had big soccer tournament in the local area which was 15 moinutes drive from the house so it was perfect location for us to relax in between the games. Thank you for great stay at The Happy Place.”

“We came up to visit our oldest son & family that we havent seen in 5 yrs. All the grandkids loved it. They loved all the fishing that they did and by the bonfire. Very nice, beautiful, relaxing place. Has everything you need to get away. The sunsets and sunrise were awesome!!! Enjoyed sitting on the porch looking at the lake and listening to the geese and their babies. We even seen deer. We will be back in the future to enjoy again. Thank you Ameila for opening up your beautiful cabin.”

“Hotel was nice and clean. Breakfast had alot of good options, including chicken patties. They even had a crib (Pack n Play) for my baby. Only issue was the moldy smell when you walk into the room”
