Spectacular view of river and mountain. Cozy cabin. Getting out of driveway is difficult because of curve and needs cutback on other side to safely leave property. The beds had dog hair on them but other than that it was clean. The railing on front needs support but honestly the views from this cottage are amazing and makes the issues seem small.

Great home in a perfect location

Great little house on the water. Perfect for a couple or small family looking for a weekend getaway close to dillsboro and sylva. The only bad part about the hunt is the driveway location. Your view is blocked both ways so pulling into the road is a little difficult but manageable.

Mountain view

The view of the mountain was beautiful, nice deck. Upon arriving, our code didn't work on the door. My husband found a glass sliding door that was open so that is how we were able to get in. The fan in kitchen was covered in dust so never used it. Dishes in dishwasher were dirty and so was filter in dishwasher

Nice wrap around porch on the river with mountain view.

I have mixed feelings about this property. Loved that it was right on the river, the view was gorgeous. Also right on a busy highway so you get plenty of weekday road noise from big trucks. House is smaller than it looks in pics, but cozy. Couch and chairs were comfortable. I wasn't impressed with the cleaning. On the surface it looked okay, but could use a good spring cleaning. Would I stay here again? Probably not, but wouldn't rule it out completely.

Gorgeous and peaceful riverview!

We stayed here when visiting our son at WCU. It's close to Dillsboro downtown area... Beds were comfy and a relaxing family room. It is on a narrow road and getting out of driveway is a little difficult due to proximity to road and some shrubs/trees that block your view. I recommend backing into driveway and it makes for an easier exit. We will definitely stay again.

Parking exit DANGEROUS! Photos show more spacious instead small-cramped. Some lights blown out. Tv barely worked, dryer door opened 4-5”. Fire pit overgrown. BRs had to walk by sideways. Front door lock hard locking. Trash cans under house-were full, had to walk in mud to get to. No wifi. Mattresses worn and poor. Water pressure poor. Driveway had shrubbery creating major blind spot!! I reported..said nothing could be done. Heavy traffic constant !! Would never rent again nor recommend

Nice stay A few issues

Arrived at property. Yard hadn't been mowed, grass was kinda high. Fire pit had a lot of tree branches in it from someone trimming branches. Satellite dish would not work the whole trip, tried what we were told to do and still never worked for the whole week. Rooms are smaller than the pics make out. Very good location, river was nice and very nice cabin. Other than the above issues it was a nice stay.

River Retreat!

Peaceful spot by the river

View of the river was peaceful and truly lovely. House was small, but the kitchen was excellently stocked with everything needed for cooking. Listing was very right about no cell service and hard to find after dark. All in all a wonderful location and hope we get to stay again some day! Thank you so much!

Great View - BUT.....

Once you enjoy the fabulous view of the river and mountains you begin to realize that the house is much smaller than the listing pictures. You also see that it is in need of repair and updating. You also appreciate the wonderful flowering bushes but also have to push them aside to get down the back stairway and they totally block any ability to see traffic getting out of the driveway. The river was nice and accessible 3 days out of the 7 - when they release water the flow is overwhelming and terribly muddy. NO INTERNET and Satellite TV that had little content. They ask to run a wash and dishwasher load but provide no soap. The really bad news is the driveway exit -- you are literally entering a busy (very busy) 2 lane road that on one end has a hair pin turn 100 feet away and the other is totally blocked by overgrown vegetation.

Best View!

View is an all day and evening relaxing experience. Location is just right for short tubing trips down to the next public access. We put in several times at the house after dropping off the truck and towels at the landing .50 mile down stream. An outdoor grill would be a great addition and maybe a hot tub. A bit small but overall many sweet memories can be made here!

Beautiful views

We had a great time at the house. The view and river are amazing. The fishing was terrific and right from the deck! We knew prior to going that there would be no cell service or wi-fi so it was nice to disconnect for the week. The area is gorgeous and folks are friendly. Close drive to a lot of attractions and waterfalls. Our concerns were that there was no closet space in one room due to the ac unit taking up the space. 5 adults had to share one tiny closet. There were two other closets but they were locked so we couldn't utilize the space. The road traffic was crazy busy and the fence on the front had foliage all over it which made it impossible to get in and out of driveway because it blocked view of oncoming traffic. The bathroom has no vent and even showering with window open still left the bathroom humidity horrible. Each morning we would wake to realize that more of the popcorn ceiling had fallen to the floor in the bathroom. Looks like they have attempted to make repairs to the ceiling and walls in the bathroom but due to humidity doesn't seem to be holding up. I'd recommend this house for 2 or 3 adults at most due to size of house but the outside deck makes up for all the small inconveniences inside the house. If you head out to eat you have to stop in at the Haywood Smokehouse on Haywood Road. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful

The house was at the perfect spot. River was stunning! I will say there was more traffic on the road than expected and the address given didn’t take you directly to the house. But drove down the road and found it based of the picture. Nice relaxing house in a cute charming town. Resturant’s and downtown Sylva were only 10 min away.
