"Great experience! The staff is very helpful and international so no issues with language. The room had everything you need, including a comfy matrass to sleep on. Diner was vegan and very tasty. Afterwards we were invited to a meditation session and in the morning you can attend the morning ceremony. Breakfast is served and at 10 you can check out but leave your stuff to explore. A must stay if you are in Koyasan!"

"My wife and I loved our time at this property. It has a very cute garden where we would sit and have tea. We also enjoyed the art display in the living room, which was all made by the host’s mother. The property is in an area away from the city where we could get a taste of everyday life in Japan, so we were delighted every time we walked to and from the train stations. The facilities may be a bit dated compared to big brands, but the staff, the food, view and the serene surroundings more than make up the fancy gadgets that might not be available. "Overall property was excellent and location was great within walking distance to all the famous temples in Nara Park. However when requesting a taxi to take us back to the train station it took longer than expected and we missed our train departure. Also taxi/car is limited as the hotel is located directly in the park. Walking is faster but with heavy luggage it’s not very convenient."
