I really enjoyed staying at hotel hoshitate. it's a great little hotel right on the beach run by a friendly family. the rooms are very clean and neat, the hotel serves delicious food, and Yuji the friendly owner speaks perfect english.
i travelled solo and there were a couple of others also by themselves so you don't feel out of place like you can in other places.
i recommend staying on iriomote island for a couple of days to really enjoy the beautiful nature it has to offer. apparently, the sunsets are amazing from this location but sadly it was overcast during my stay!
Einfache aber schöne Unterkunft am einsamen Strand. Super freundliches Besitzerehepaar welches sehr gut Englisch spricht. Extrem ruhig, nur die Wellen des Meeres sind zum Höhren.
Mit dem Bus erreicht man auf der Insel alles, aber er fährt nur 4x pro Richtung.
Wer Ruhe sucht ist hier perfekt aufgehoben.
