가성비를 찾으신다면!

워낙 비싼 지역이라 가성비 괜찮은곳 찾으신다면 추천해요. 방은 낡았지만 깨끗해요. 근데 좀 여관방 같은 느낌? 그래서 신혼여행이나, 뭔가 로맨틱을 위한 숙소는 아니에요. 그래도 바다 근처라 물놀이 다니면서 왔다갔다 하기는 정말 좋아요. 그리고 도심에서 바로 내려와서 좌회전 하면 호텔이라 운전 길게 할 필요 없이 좋았어요. 위치는 대 만족 했습니다. 참! 근데 여기 수영장 이용할 생각으로 예약하시면 안됩니다. 왠 분수대가 있나 하실꺼에요. 그리고 방 바로 앞에 기차가 다녀서 소리에 민감 한 분들은 주의 하세요. 이 부분은 이 호텔뿐아니라 해변뷰 쭉 따라서 기차가 있어 다른 곳들도 그리 다르진 않을 것 같네요. 참! 아침에 해 뜨는거 호텔 리셉션 앞에서 보세요!

Unterkunft entspricht nicht der Ausschreibung

Leider standen uns die gebuchten Zimmer " Doppelzimmer mit Meerblick" nicht zur Verfügung. Stattdessen hatten wir Zimmer zur Straße, sehr lauten Straße. Wir haben dann nach Ankunft die Unterkunft storniert und ein anderes vergleichbares Hotel bezogen. Die Erstattung des bereits bezahlten Preises wurde uns ein Stornobeleg ausgehändigt mit der Information das uns der Betrag gutgeschrieben wird. Heute 6 Tage danach ist der Erstattungsbetrag immer noch nicht auf dem Konto gutgeschrieben.

Nice clean comfortable room but noisy (trains)

Our room was comfortable and clean. Staff certainly helpful and pleasant. The hotel is next to a railway track so the noise of the trains can be heard from around 6am till midnight. Also the door system is quite complicated. Wifi was only available near the reception so that was frustrating. Overall it was fine.

Stranden som hotellet ligger ovanför är väldigt trevlig. Mycket mindre folk än de andra stränderna. Går bussar till Taormina ca engång i timme. Busshållplats ligger väldigt nära hotellet (50m), kostade ca 10 kr per resa. Var inte speciellt långt att gå (2km) men är mycket uppför (250hm). Hotellägaren är väldigt hjälpsam. Frukosten var bra och serveras från en terrass med havsutsikt. Järnvägen ligger precis intill hotellet, där de går tåg mellan ca 6.30-22.00. Sover man längre om morgonen kan man nog störas av detta.

We enjoyed our stay at Borromeo House. Our host was very helpful in assisting us navigate Taormina, in spite of the language barrier. The room was clean and comfortable. The wi-fi was poor and did not operate in our room.

Great Stay

Great location away from the throngs of people in Taormina. The beach bus provides an inexpensive way to get into town without having to bother with parking. The hotel owner is very helpful. The restaurant nearby is fantastic but very expensive. The beach water is very clear though we did not go swimming. Great views across the ocean. The pool is quite small.

Un enfer. Et à plus de 100€ la nuit... l’arnaque

Un enfer. Et à plus de 100€ la nuit... l’arnaque du siècle ! - Nous sortons du péage de l’autoroute est tombons directement sur l’hôtel (péage qu’on voit depuis la plage). Plage sale. - L’hôtel est au bord d’une voie de chemin de fer ! Le train passe à 2 mètres de la terrasse ! Pour information le dernier train passe vers 00h, et le premier à 5h12 le matin. 1 train minimum toutes les heures. Impossible de faire une nuit correcte. À ce niveau là, il est préférable de prendre un hôtel vue sur la gare de Clichy. Vous entendrez moins les trains. La photo « vue depuis l’hôtel » est fausse. Vue depuis l’hôtel ce sont les rails. - Le « parking gratuit » est une espèce de bande d’arrêt d’urgence le long d’une route nationale. Route qu’il faut longer pour la plage, sans trottoir en passant un passage à niveau… Paradisiaque. - Le gérant (qui a été très désagréable lorsqu’on lui a rendu les clefs plus tôt, car l’hôtel est tellement horrible qu’on a écourté notre séjour au point de payer une modification sur les billets d’avion) ne parle qu’italien bien qu’il soit précisé « polyglotte ». Pas pratique même avec Translate… - On ne capte rien dans les chambres même pas du Edge ! - L’hôtel n’a plus que 3 étoiles et non 4 comme sur les photos. - Il est entre 2 boites de nuit. - Le bar... ça peut être sympa un cocktail après le restaurant. Sauf qu’à 22h y’a plus personne. Bref n’allez JAMAIS là bas. Atroce. Hôtel.com devrait vérifier rapidement les informations de cet hôtel...

Super petit hôtel familial où le patron et sa fille sont aux petits soins pour la clientelle. Il nous a même trouvé une excursion privée en bateau car tout était complet. Super déjeuner. Un séjour rêvé. On sortait de notre terrasse on était à la piscine. Propreté impeccable. On y retournera merciiiii

Un bel endroit, mais à magasiner intelligemment!

Le séjour a été très positif en général. L'équipe du Borroméo a été très aidante, mais plusieurs employés parlaient juste italien, ce qui pouvait compliquer la communication. L'hôtel était propre, hyper proche de la mer, avec un beau grand balcon et une grande porte qu'on pouvait ouvrir la nuit pour entendre les vagues. Beau bar ouvert jusque très tard la nuit à deux pas de la chambre, super pour prendre une bière ou un aperol spritz en revenant de Taormina. Quelques espaces de stationnement directement devant l'hôtel sont réservés aux clients, ce qui fait que l'on n'a eu aucune difficulté à garer en arrivant, et on peut difficilement en dire autant de 9 des 14 autres localités que l'on a visité en Sicile, où c'était, règle générale, un cauchemar de garer à chaque endroit... Pour ce qui est des points négatifs : l'hôtel n'est pas À Taormina, ce qui fait que l'on devait se déplacer à chaque jour pour faire des activités, autre qu'aller à la plage. Le système local d'autobus est une vraie blague, avec certains bus qui accusent des retards de 30-35 min et d'autres, qui sont d'avance de 15 min! Le taxi coûte 15 euros de l'hôtel à Taormina centre, et 30 pour Castelmola! Absolument ridicule. La voiture demeure qnd même peu attrayante. Enfin, le Wi-fi gratuit qui était supposé être accessible de la chambre et du lobby a fonctionné pendant moins de la moitié de notre séjour de 5 nuits, ce qui, nous devons l'admettre, a été une déception majeure, considérant le prix payé.

Loved the staff. Very nice and helpful. Only owner spoke English but ladies were very nice even without being able to communicate. Any issues were dealt with immediately. Not your typical "american type" resort but lovely nevertheless. You do get what you paid for. Breakfast was simple but adequate and coffee was excellent.

located right on the beach, a gem of a hotel. balcony overlooking the water. a great breakfast, and very accommodating staff. proximity (by car or bus) to the hill top area of taormina, with its high end shops and tourist congestion, this hotel was a great spot to come home to. and to the north, still on the beach, was a vibrant town to go to at night for its many restaurants and bars. also, the beach bar located at the hotel provided good food and beach chairs. the day spent at the beach was a welcome rest from the rest of my trip.

LOVED!

This was one of my favorite places I've stayed. Not only is it located great (beach is a min walk away) but the staff was incredibly friendly. If you don't feel like taking a short walk to the beach there is a small pool within the hotel. The rooms were perfect, bigger then your average European hotel room and was stalked with all toiletries. The wifi worked perfect along with the air condition. If we were to return we'd stay here again.

Nice hotel and close to beach and transportation

Francesco/owner could not have done enough for me and other guests...I felt very much like home amongst family and friends! He went out of his way to make sure everything was ok and handled if there was a problem.... highly recommend this hotel and would definitely return myself...

Albergo sulla spiaggia ma vecchiotto...

La pisizione dell'albergo e' fantastica ma l'albergo e'datato e necessita di parecchi lavori.. A partire dai bagni delle camere! La colazione è servita si di una bella terrazza sul mare cn una vista strepitosa ma anche li potrebbe migliorare parecchio! Il personale e' molto gentile.di sicuro nn un 4 stelle.. Facciamo i generosi e diamogliene 3!

NON E' UN HOTEL. MA AFFITTACAMERE

Non è un Resort 4*. Come definito dalla prorietaria (peraltro molto garbata e gentile), è AFFITTACAMERE, no Hotel, nè Resort. Tutti gli spazi aperti sono in abbandono. Il condizionatore funziona bene, ed è utile. Ma non si riesce a spegnerlo. La prima colazione è povera. Camera e bagno piccoli. Ma, cosa assai grave, non c'è acqua corrente: sembra per sabotaggio (e serbatoio?). Ciò non è avvenuto. Pertanto siamo andati via (noi, come altri clienti) senza poterci lavare. Davanti alle camnere ci sono i binari ferroviari, con tanto di cancello di uscita sui binari, tenuto chiuso. Noi credevamo che i continui rumori del passaggio dei treni provocassero fastidio. In realtà tali rumori sono stati 20 volte superati dal frastuono continuo (dalle ore 24 alle ore 4:30 della notte) di musica ritmica da discoteca non apprezzabile, provocato da un Lido vicino. Risultato: sonno impossibile. La Reception, prontamente chiamata, non rispondeva. I Carabinieri (112) non davano segni di vita (non si sentiva nemmeno squillare). Gli altri clienti ci hanno detto che tale frastuono osceno avviene ogni giorno, e non soltanto sabato (pensiamo ai poveri sordi giovani che si trovavano DENTRO i locali dai queli perveniva il frastuono .....). Come sempre, avevo pagato anticipatamente la notte. Ma la proprietaria non lo sapeva: ho dovuto insistere un paio di volte per farglielo capire. La figlia ha rimediato all'errore.

Would stay again

We would definitely stay again in this hotel. The hotel staff is super helpful and friendly. The location is gorgeous. The terrace upstairs (the same where they serve breakfast) has a wonderful view. Outside of the rooms (downstairs) there's a bit of outdoor space that we enjoyed a lot as we had to spend one morning at the hotel to do some work. The price vs quality is very good. Before going we were a bit worried as we read some reviews complaining about noise from a beach resort/disco nearby during summer weekends. We must say however that the room was sufficiently sound proof and you won't hear any noise from the disco after closing the window. Other reviews mentioning the noise from the railway instead were right in saying that you will hear some noise or some vibrations inside the rooms as the railway is really next to the hotel. However at night we were able to have a good sleep through the entire night. We never woke up before 7AM. I think there are less trains (or no trains at all) for most of the night. Moreover it's not a very busy rail line, as most of the trains are small local trains (few carriages). We would definitely stay here again in case we should go to Taormina.
