Beautiful Taos
We were so happy to have found the Red Cat House to rent out for the week! Super cute and comfortable, a block to the plaza and so many shops and restaurants within walking distance. This is our first VRBO experience and we will definitely use it again!

The apartment is right on a parking lot, and there are lots of police and ambulances that pass by at night. It was clean but smelled and felt really old and dusty. And my car was broken into at nite.

Beautiful, funky bungalow in the heart of Taos
Loved staying here and would totally do so again. Right across the street from Taos square and within walking distance to everything. Easy access and parking as well. The property itself was very cool with excellent New Mexican decor and funky vibes - everything you want in a Taos bungalow! This is an historic building dating way back so the charm is abundant. Also, an excellent garden space for taking in the morning/evening with coffee/drinks. Will be coming back for sure.

Loved this place. It’s my favorite of Melissa’s places so far. Only recommendation I’d make is to have a pitcher or something like that to fill the cooler in the bedroom. It was time consuming and messy filling it up with a water bottle. Other than that, loved it. Thanks, Melissa! ✌❤️❤️

Brilliant decor
This was a fun place to stay. The artwork and furniture made you feel like you were really in an art colony. Short walk to historic district and plaza with lots of restaurants, galleries and gift shops, and a good coffee place. Nearby Taos Pueblo is a must see.

Great location - nice apartment
My friend and I stayed here for a night in Taos. Would actually be a great place to stay for a few days - the apartment has everything we needed. The decor is really fun with a strong southwest vibe. Everything is older, as to be expected, but worked okay.

Overall - would not return. We stayed for 7+ nights. Positives - awesome location near the plaza, the place is big enough for stays that last longer than a weekend, the charm of this place is awesome. It can be fine for a 1-2 night stay as long as you just need a place to sleep and enjoy the uniqueness of this place before the charm wears off. Areas of improvement: 1) The plumbing is weak in the entire place and you are guaranteed to run into clogging issues especially in bath. The toilet makes a weird sound on water re-fill every time it is flushed. Loud that you can hear it throughout the place. Needs to be looked into urgently. 2. The kitchen supplies and amenities are weak. Sink is poor designed that makes it hard to use it for cleaning utensils. Hard to tell what are kitchen supplies and what are trinkets that are all over the place. It was really hard to make a meal and we gave up after first time. 3. The living room sofa is end of life. The covers are very rough and there isn't much support. Hopefully the hosts replace it for future guests. Looks fine in the pictures but nothing that you can put to use. 4. The cleanliness was average. We get that Taos is dusty and it can get windy which spread the dust around. That said, the cleaners left lot of places unclean. Example - The cutlery was dirty and we had to clean it before using it. The bath should be cleaned more thoroughly. 5. The bedding is average and can use an upgrade urgently

Great place for Taos getaway
Cute little apartment - exactly as advertised. Quaint and eclectic with a fun vibe. Spent the long weekend skiing, and this was a great place to end the day and enjoy the Taos atmosphere. Would definitely stay again!

Couldn't have been any nicer! Clean, organized, easy walking distance from everything downtown. Farmers Market on Saturday provided great treats we cooked with in the kitchen. Very spacious for 2 people.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The Red Cat House was spacious, pet-friendly, and perfectly located next to the Plaza. We walked to most of our favorite places. Melissa was super and quick to respond to any questions. We highly recommend staying.

Central Location
The property was as advertised, unfortunatly our stay was negatively impacted by a power outage which occured before we arrived. We did not have access to the refrigerator, microwave or hot water for showers, which were not repaired before our departure. Its a nice apartment, but we dont know how often these issues occur. We would not visit this property in the future.

Stay at the Red Cat House in Taos
We truly enjoyed our stay at the Red Cat House apartment. The decor was quaint and the bed was very comfortable. Keeping the windows open in the bedroom at night was wonderful. We loved the fresh air. The best part about this place was its location.... right off the Taos Plaza. We didn't have to drive at all to enjoy great restaurants, bars and shops/galleries! All in all, it was a lovely stay.

Quaint apartment with all the comforts of home.
We found everything we needed and the location is very convenient to shops and restaurants. Decor is unique with a great vintage vibe. Window AC units are understandable, and while a bit noisy, did keep us comfortable for August. One unfortunate event was that we discovered our vehicle had been hit in the lot we were instructed to use for parking. It happened at some point Saturday morning while the lot was quite busy with shoppers. While this, of course, was of absolutely no fault on the part of the host, we would suggest researching other options for parking, as the lot was very busy and full all weekend.

The Red Cat House was amazing - very clean and accommodating along with the charm advertised. The location could not be better for a quiet getaway for two within walking distance from the plaza and mountain views from the windows. Having a bit of heat insensitivity, I was a tad worried but the air conditioning was just fine. The host Melissa was responsive via text to little issues we had. She has several properties so I hope we get to experience those but I would stay there again. Having never been to New Mexico I am happy to have found a perfect place.

You can't beat the plaza access, and the fun decor throughout. This was a great space for us and our two little doggies to spend a few days. The tiny kitchen sink made dishwashing a challenge, but we rose to it!

Roomy Taos Casita
This second-story location is close to the plaza, which means it is also close to busy streets. There is a grassy field by the Catholic Church about a block away which can be used for dog walking/potty purposes. Several nice restaurants within walking distance. The property was generally in good repair, tiny, functional kitchen with 2-seat kitchen table. Roomy central area and relatively large bathroom.

Loved the layout of the apartment, found the decor to be absolutely lovely. Garden out front is excellent to enjoy a cool morning's first cup of coffee. Perfect 5 minute or less walk to the plaza too!

Fun, quirky, cozy and romantic little apartment near the city center
We enjoyed our long-weekend stay at this neat little apartment. It was very comfortable and stocked with everything we needed for our little weekend getaway. You can't beat its location and proximity to the Taos Plaza area, with lots of neat little shops and really good restaurants in easy walking distance. However, once you're inside, you feel pretty secluded from the outside world, which is a nice feeling, in my opinion. A little constructive criticism I have for the property is that it's a bit over-decorated with knick-knacks all over the place. Some of these, especially in the bathroom, are cluttering shelves that you would otherwise use for toiletries, etc. There were also a few dead insects trapped in the net canopy over the bed which, if you're squeamish about such things, might gross you out. We chose to ignore them. The check-in and check-out process could not be simpler or more intuitive, which is very nice if you're arriving and departing at non-peak hours. I'd definitely recommend the Red Cat House to friends and family if they're looking for a convenient, fun and cozy place to stay while in Taos!

Thanks for review. Glad you liked most of it. Constructive criticism is always good. Most guests love the whimsy of what you call my knick knacks but I will check bath shelf and make sure there is room for bath supplies. Also there is an open cupboard with three shelves beside the sink. No excuse for dead bugs in bed canopy. I will tell my housekeepers to LOOK UP each time they clean. Makes sense to me!!!
