「Nice hotel nice food can’t go wrong 」

「Lovely little town. With safe parking just a few meters from the front door. Room was warm welcoming and quiet. All the amenities were very nice and breakfast was lovely. Easy check in attentive staff. Thank you very much for a lovely stay. 」

「Our Dog was welcomed. Very friendly and approachable staff, our room was as expected clean and exactly what we required as being disabled, on the ground floor and a walk in shower. We had no problems getting there, and being there, staff were excellent and attentive, Especially Gavin GM. Dale HM, and Pete the Executive Chef. Other staff were friendly and helpful too. We had a great stay.」

Great having the fridge in the room with fresh milk for tea and coffee. Beautiful selection for breakfast. The host Keith was absolutely lovely and went above and beyond during our stay. We would stay here again without hesitation.」

「Arrived to a luke warm welcome. The bedroom window was wide open, to air the room, which was damp. The reception area stank of cigarettes smoke. The carpets are so grubby, some steps the carpet is held together with gaffer tape. When we said we wouldn’t be staying because it wasn’t suitable and damp and in general disrepair. We weren’t offered any incentive to stay or give an option for a better room. This hotel would have been amazing in the 1980’s but has indeed lost all its charm. 」

The same 3-bed room is as impeccable as before (with one new decorative item), but most importantly the helpful staff is a newly-discovered plus: accidentally left behind a bottle of whisky in the room and I was already in another town once I noticed that, then after contacting the hotel everything's sorted out at once and a few days later the bottle arrived safely in very proper packaging (done better than what I usually do for...
