  • Inspired by @williamJones I went down to south Florida. I also went down to visit family :D. Granted, I had to capture a few landscapes along the way. I left Atlanta at 3:30 PM and got into Key Largo at 3:00 AM. Slept for a couple hours in my car and went in search of a sunrise. I hoped to find a dock falling into the water, but this was just as good. I also went from 37 degrees to 74 degrees. That was interesting.

Room and location were great! Community pool was very nice and we used it a lot. Quick walk down to the marina. We would stay here again.

Lovely short stay

We had a great stay at Melanie's condo. The place is immaculate, we had everything we needed, and the complex itself is great - huge heated pool and hot tub within walking distance, convenient location, etc. No complaints at all!

Great Getaway

I was looking for a quick getaway trip with the kids so they could fish and enjoy resort like amenities. This place definitely delivered. Location was great and the apartment was perfect and as described. Would stay here again.

Tavernier Condo

Very clean and cozy! Elevator is available for the upper floors. Quick walk to the beautiful clean heated pool and hot tub. Umbrellas are available at tables at the pool and plenty of sun chairs. Boat launch and dock slips available on the ocean side. Perfect location to be an hour from Miami or two hours from key west!

Enjoyable Stay

We were looking for an affordable, clean place to stay for a few days. The actual property it's on is nice. They have a community pool which was large and welcoming. There was a small beach area with loungers which was nice as well. I think it would be a fun place for a small family to visit. We did not spend much time there as we wanted to go see sites. It is also centrally located to see the Keys. We liked that.

Pool was great and the complex was very nice, wording of the place was very pull out was not comfortable, the bed was bowed toward the center and there is no way unless you a baby that this place will sleep 5 just not going to happen. dishes and kitchen stuff were old and in need of update. Overall, not what the pictures and write up make this place to be

Scuba Getaway

The property is great. Pretty and very well kept. Pool is excellent. Just wish there was a Tiki Bar. We didn't use the food truck so can't comment on that. Our unit was fairly well appointed. The owner/agent was easy to communicate with. I found a non-functional dishwasher and a non-functional disposal. The disposal was an easy fix, the diswasher was not. She was very responsive to my concerns but due to location and time, getting DW fixed was not possible. I did not look for compensation as I know things happen. She said she was going to give me a $50 credit anyway, which I have not received yet. Overall, this is my second year at Ocean Point and will be back. It is perfectly located in Key Largo/Tavenier for all things diving. Would alos be grert for those interested in fishing or just relaxing. The property has grat beach front as well as a pier/gavebo to watch the beautiful sunrises.

Relaxed Getaway

The unit was beautifully calming. Property manager, Melanie, made it super easy and convenient to check in/out. She left a guest book detailing great restaurants to try nearby and fun activities/ excursions. We ended up trying the snorkeling and sunset cruise which our family still can't stop talking about. The pool is big and clean with a hot tub and bar nearby, playing a range of music. The pool temperature was really warm, to the point we didn't need the hot tub, just floated around in the pool. We overheard repeated guests comment the pool was just as warm as the year prior etc, so that's normal. The area by the beach was closed for renovation so we cannot speak to that. There was some nice gas lit firepits in the beach area to enjoy. The beach itself was more of a lagoon and definitely not as pictured with the blue water. That would be the only let down if we would even try to pin point something. Otherwise, there were plenty of beaches nearby that we ventured to and ended up finding sombrero beach - highly recommend. The inside of the unit was clean and had the nice air-coastal vibe. Plenty of games for family including a deck of cards. There were pool noodles (were very helpful especially on the beach excursions) cooler, rackets/ball to use as well. We were on the 3rd floor, conveniently next to a flight a stairs and a very short walk to the elevator. Had great views of the cotton candy sunset skys. Would definitely return.

Great place to stay in the Upper Keys

Melanie provided a wonderful place to stay for a week. There is a marina for Boats, a pool with a Bar, and it’s close to everything in the Upper Keys. I would not hesitate to ever stay there again in this great little find. great

Paradise in the Keys!!

Our stay at Melanie's place was excellent!! Great communication before hand and we found everything to be in order and as advertised on arrival! Melanie checked on us to see if we needed anything the morning after we arrived. Highly recommend. Would definitely stay again! Ocean Pointe is awesome!!
