Spacious King Room and great breakfast

Enjoyable one-night stay for a stop-over en route to Cheltenham. Nice hotel, with excellent service from the front desk and a great breakfast.

We booked a table in the restaurant for the first evening of our stay but were unfortunately disappointed by the poor service. Although the restaurant did not appear to busy we were ignored for long periods even though staff were scurrying about. We were told by one member of staff that this was due to a large number of hotel guests requiring bar service.

Lovely Oxfordshire hotel

The rooms are lovely, warm and very comfortable. We always have a good night sleep staying here. The pool area was a bit disappointing as the steam room wasn't working at all.

Nice & convenient

I stay 4 times a year for work, nice and convenient hotel for me. The rooms are nice, could do with more attention to detail in cleaning, found a champagne cork beside the curtains and loads of dust… the room I was in had the air conditioner below the window which is pointless as when you shut the curtains to sleep the air doesn’t come into the room.

Really enjoyable relaxing stay

We had a really nice relaxing break. In fact to point that i may book every few months to get a break. Could do with a few more staff in the bar, but the breakfast was excellent. Room a good size and very comfortable. The evening restaurant food was very good as well and service excellent. Check in was quick and simple. The hotel offered everything we needed. It was a very hot weekend so air con in rooms would have been good. But the air con in the bar and restaurant was perfect.

Lovely hotel. Staff are friendly and helpful - told us what times the spa and restaurant will be more busy and the best time to go. Steam room wasn't working unfortunately. Restaurant food was nice and buffet food was standard. Was good that vegan alternative milk was available too.
