「Very wonderful old charm.」

「Nice hotel. Convenient location easy to walk to downtown restaurants and shops. Free parking. Bathroom could use a fan and a door hook for towels and toiletry bags. We’ve stayed here 3 times Easter weekends when visiting our DD at JMU. 」

「Clean space, nice staff, lovely lobby. However, the standard double queen rooms have TINY bathrooms that you can barely get into and close the door… they also have very low drop ceilings, and in the room we were given the window was busted and didn’t close properly so it let in a lot of noise and heat. We wound up upgrading to a bigger room which had good bones but was a bit tired and outdated, and the bed was not the most comfortable for us as it was on the firm side. 」

「The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly, and accommodating. Breakfast was exceptional! A large variety, and fresh fruit was delicious. The pool was very nice. Loved the history of the building! If you are in the area, it is the place to stay!」

「The room was reasonably clean but the halls smelled of mildew. The staff as nice as could be but the breakfast was minimal.The location is terrific and the views lovely. All told, despite the limitations I would come again for the central location and the courtesy of the staff.」
