Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: House is getting tired. TV has always been an issue. At the beginning of our stay the property manager had to spend a couple of hours to get the TV going. (The PM has always been helpful)Never did get comfortable with the TV. Also internet many times kept going out.The steering mechanism on the Golf Cart is questionable.This is our 5 year with Down Home, next year renting with DH a little upscale, Jan, Feb & March

We like the layout of the rooms, except no laundry room.The owner needs to realize to get top rent, the place needs to be updated. Even the property manager agrees.The air handler unit outside one of the bedrooms makes soo much noise you cannot sleep.The handle fell off the microwave, dishwasher makes a not of noise.Nice yard, no lounge chairs to enjoy.Your property manager is great.This is the 4 year we have rented with Down Home Properties. Very satisfied with your service.

Perfect location

The rental company was very helpful. The property was clean and as advertised. All appliances and devices worked fine. The kitchen was well appointed with provided plenty to cook with. The golf cart worked well, and the location for golfing and attending the 3 squares was excellent! The minor drawbacks include a weak wi-fi signal which went out at least 4-5 times a week, but was quick to reboot. The owners do provide some cable channels, however if you like live sports you may wish to bring your own Roku box from home. I would gladly stay at this home again!

TCC needed

Property was clean, but sweeper bag full, throw rugs and shower curtain need washes, grill out of propane, need kitchen towels. I would say clean, but not maintained well. This is a problem when owners do not check in.

Great location!

It’s a great walk to Sumter Landing & a quick golf cart ride. The property was perfect for us while visiting my mother-in-law, who lives less than 2 miles away. Would stay again!

Reviewer Comments: We had a great time staying at 977 Tanglewood Pl.Compared to other rentals in The Villages, we found this one, clean, bright, with nice furniture and a fully equipped kitchen.Note: a unsafe condition exists with the golf cart. The front steering bushings are worn. This condition causes "play" in the steering wheel and is very noticeable when the cart is operating at street speed. It's not an expensive repair, but one which would make the cart easier to operate safely.

Amazing Location & Fun Vacation!

There have been many improvements in this house since last rated. We found that the issues mentioned by previous reviewers have been corrected. The location of this spacious bright home is amazing. Its location is one of the best in The Villages. Wrap a towel around yourself and you are literally a couple dozen steps away from a beautiful quiet adults-only pool. If you like walking, you can take sidewalks all the way to Lake Sumter Landing. It is less than two miles away
