Brlliant photo spot! Kawah Putih is a sulfur crater lake in Ciwidey, just a couple hours outside of Bandung. 18k ticket for locals, 50k for foreigners. Only good for a short trip - the sulfur started making us cough within the hour.
Kawah Putih (English: White Crater) is a striking crater lake and tourist spot in a volcanic crater about 50 km south of Bandung in West Javain Indonesia. The volcano is a staggeringly beautiful and somewhat eerie mist-shrouded, highly acidic lake. The smell of sulphur permeates and wisps of smoke rise from the lake. You may wish to pack a face mask or scarf to cover your face, although plenty of sellers offer masks for sale. The lake’s elevation is around 2,200 metres which means it can get decidedly chilly, so bring a jacket. #LifeAtExpedia
