“Ali and his brother are amazing. They take care of you every single moment. Transportation to Thoddoo was a little intense for the waves but since you arrive to the pier they are there waiting for you. You get a coconut once you are at the hotel since there everything is marvelous. If you really want to live the local experience of Maldives you definitely need to visit this island. Dont forget to try the papaya and mango juice.I love the papaya.”

“Nem ajánlom senkinek ezt a szállást! 2 hetet szerettünk volna náluk eltölteni... Megérkezésünkkor, senki nem fogadott minket a reptéren a szállástól, holott többszöri levelezés után mindig azt a választ kaptam, hogy valaki várni fog minket és segít a transzferrel. Nem lehetett őket elérni telefonon! Másfél óra próbálkozás után felvették és nem igazán tudtak rólunk... majd azt mondták hogy küldenek valakit értünk... Újabb másfél órás várakozás után odajött egy másik hotel, sziget tourist……

“This is the first time we visit Maldives as well as this resort. It’s not a big resort but like a small village. Staff are friendly and they could remember where you from and who you are (at least at room number). Don’t expect those “Sir” or “Madam”, as I believe they are trying to serve you like a friend from somewhere far away. We enjoyed the time in Veligandu with our overwater villa. “Overall we were happy with the hotel, in terms of meals and the service of staff members. Facilities could be better though. For example, it would be nice to be able to connect to the internet in the rooms instead of having to go out to the lounge area to use the WiFi all the time. The hotel is just about one year old, so the owner and his son are still learning to manage the business. The owner, a retired teacher, is a nice guy. His son was very patient and helpful, and speaks excellent……

“Room was nice and big, however, a few things missing. No mini fridge for cold water. No hand towels in the bathroom. Light in shower didn’t work either. No place to rinse your feet before walking into room, since the door leads straight onto sand. Overall a pleasant stay, great location, just some small things that could make a huge difference. ”
