Beautiful place to getaway !

Loved having our own lake and being able to boat when we wanted. It was super calming and a great place to get a moment away from the craziness of the city! Will definitely stay again.

Our stay at Hemlock Point was good. The boys enjoyed the fishing every day , caught many large bass and som pickerel. Beautiful, restful lodge.Unfortunately, air conditioning went out and host. Was unable to have fixed while we were there. The host was very accommodating with fans etc. we received a partial refund promptly

Great location.

Hemlock Point was a great location. Extremely private, beautiful lake, and a perfect spot to feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere.

Wonderful stay with privacy

We were 3 families coming from different places to meet up. We had 5 kids from 1-16 yo and 6 adults. We had plenty of room to spread out so that we all had quiet and privacy. There was also so much to do o. The property. We used the boats, had outdoor fires, played games inside. Just a great stay for everyone. I would highly recommend this as a great weekend retreat for a group.

Hemlock with the boys

We had a great stay here from start to finish. The view and the house are even more beautiful than the pictures show. Everything was as stated in the description and we never felt we were missing any amenities. We loved our time here and hope to come back next year!!

Birthday celebration

Amazing home. Don’t be afraid to be loud, it’s sound proof.views are gorgeous. It has all you the amenities you need. Perfect for large groups.

Great stay for Thanksgiving

Rooms are exactly as they're described. Huge living area and games room which is ideal for the amount of people that can stay. Plenty of kitchen utensils to use. Check in was easy. Very easy to communicate with property owner. Great for big groups

We will definitely be back!

I stayed at Hemlock Point with my husband and kids, my parents, and my three siblings and their families. The house and property were even better than we expected based on the listing. The lake is beautiful, and we spent hours paddle-boarding and kayaking. Great fishing as well. The kids loved picking blueberries while we walked the property!

Gorgeous property, tons of space

Surprisingly warm and cozy despite the freezing temperatures outside, especially considering how many huge windows there are. Had everything we needed. Air hockey table was a big hit with our teens. Plenty of room to spread out. Decor was really cool. I hope we can make it back next year!

Wonderful family time

Our family with kids ages 2 all the way up to my 75 year old parents stayed a week at the house. We had such a great time. The kids loved the game room and the lake. We had so much room for everyone to have their own beds. The kitchen was one of the best stocked houses we have rented. There were plenty of boats and water things to play. After we cleared away some weeds and grass the little kids had a great time playing on the beach. There were a couple things that happened but was able to communicate with the host to fix them.

Better than expected

The pictures of the property truly don’t do this place justice . During a time when travel is difficult getting away with lifelong friends was just the perfect getaway . We were all extremely impressed with the location , property , and cleanliness of the lodge . We did have a small issue with the oven so please be aware that it takes longer than expected to cook . Aside from that the weekend was perfect and we are already talking about making this an annual trip !

We (4 couples and 8 teenagers) stayed at Hemlock lodge during the week of 8/5/23. The place was clean and well equipped and easily fit our group. The lake, boats and game room were a hit. We would recommend it to similar groups. We had a problem with hot water that was resolved quickly. The advertised hot tub and ping pong were not there and the pool table needed repair. At least one shower was almost useless providing hot or cold water bit nothing in between. The place is somewhat remote.

Family Fun

14 of us so we hade plenty of extra room place can fit 20 very comfortable. Game room was fun as we hand 10 young adults from 23 to 27 that was non stop entertainment then you have a fire pit and lake. Spacious kitchen bathrooms everywhere. This was not with it bumps but the owner made it right. Something happened w prior guests that messed up the fireplace and bbq. Nikki the host went and had one of her staff bring is a new bbq not to interrupt our stay and to keep things smooth. Overall great place to stay 20 minutes from well and all had a good time that even had one of our kids say this would be great to come back years from now w grandkids and families.

Hemlock Point and all its land/lake is absolutely beautiful.

Hemlock is a must stay for any group looking to get away from it all. With over 100 private acres and a massive private lake, you feel like the last people on earth... which sometimes is a great feeling! From its beautiful design, gameroom, well-appointed bedrooms, tasteful decor, huge living room and more, Hemlock Point is a perfect place for the ultimate group chill. The deck leads to your backyard trail to the lake where you can go for a serene boat ride. Views of the house from the lake (especially at dusk when the house/yard lights are on) are breathtaking. The paths in the woods lend to really nice hikes, especially in the pitch black of night. Nicky, the property manager, was readily available by phone and email to answer any questions or concerns. The only minor setbacks were nonfunctional fireplace and outdoor hot tub, which Nicky compensated us by giving us a few extra hours before and after checkout. If you're looking for nature, beauty, seclusion, and fun, Hemlock Point is the only place to stay in the Pocono/Northern PA region.

Our Second Visit

My extended family loved our first trip here so much we decided to stay again! We love the lodge and the space it provides for our large group; there is plenty of rooms for everyone to sleep comfortably in and lots of living space for everyone to enjoy during the day without being on top of each other. Besides the house, the main attraction for us was the lake. We spent most of the days there swimming, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, floating, paddleboarding... and besides all of the entertainment it offered, it is beautiful! There were a few issues - the air hockey table was not working, the air conditioner had a hard time keeping up, the wifi was finicky, and the we had some issues with having enough hot water for showers. We communicated all of this with the caretakers and they were apologetic but nothing was able to be fixed while we were there. Hopefully they will be fixing these issues asap for future guests. These things were not enough for me not to consider coming back again though - it really is a wonderful place and our family cherishes all of the memories we've made here.

Beautiful lodge on a private lake. Just phenomenal! Check-in was smooth. Kitchen facilities were excellent. They were plenty of plates, glasses cups utensils, and silverware. Also, plenty of countertop. Wi-Fi access was excellent. Game room is an excellent idea. There is a pool table, an air hockey table, a Pac-Man table and Roku TV and plenty of games to play along with DVDs.

Good for large groups

We stayed with a large group of people and though the weather didn't hold up for us, the house had plenty of indoor activities to keep everyone having fun all weekend.

Family get away

The house’s layout was absolutely perfect for our 12 person family get away. With 2 sets of grandparents, the two main level bedrooms (each with an en-suite bathroom) came in handy. No need for climbing stairs. The game room kept everyone entertained during a snowy/rainy day and although it was a little chilly, we very much enjoyed paddling on the pond.

A Great Getaway - but not quite 5 stars

This was more house than 3 couples without children knew what to do with- but for a winter weekend focused on re-connecting - it was just what we needed. This would be GREAT for reunions with large families and lots of kids to spend quality time together. It’s clear the hosts have put alot of love into this Lodge and my only recommendation is to have the cleaners pay a bit more attention to details. A deep cleaning, both inside and out, and some re-investments in worn decor would put this back in a 5 star category. If a rustic getaway is what you’re looking for, don’t pass the chance to enjoy this one!
