“Five Stars This was yet another fantastic stay at this lovely holiday cottage. It’s dog-friendly, which is always a huge bonus for us, and the location couldn’t be more perfect — right in the heart of all the fabulous local walks. Having a great pub next door with delicious food and a welcoming community feel just adds to the charm.This isn’t our first visit, and it certainly won’t be our last. “Very pretty and had all we needed for self catering. Maybe a baking sheet, smaller saucepan and a baking dish would have been useful - not a big deal!Lovely to be next to the beck, loads of birds to watch and interesting places to visit.Drive from The Tan Inn to Hawes not for the faint hearted, narrow and very steep.Noticed a funny mark in the oven which I couldn't clean so emailed the office and someone came the next day to clean it - excellent. “We had a wonderful five night stay in Newbiggin. Phil could not have been more helpful and accessible.Westbrook House was beautifully clean and well equipped. We were blessed with incredible weather and sitting outside the cottage enjoying the peace and quiet with a glass of wine was just perfect.Excellently situated for walks and other local delights.Cannot recommend highly enough - thank you Phil”

“Fantastic find. Lovely views. We were blessed with new born lambs to watch. It's quiet apart from a variety of bird song, lovely. Each pod is labelled and has a discrete fencing/ stone wall for privacy. The hut itself was clean and in great condition and a good temperature. Perfect size for a couple. There is a double sofa bed for 2 more, but that would be extremely cosy. Kitchen area is fine for self catering. Don't bring too much as the fridge is small, but it does have a tiny ice box for ice……

“Dent is a very lovely village and there are plenty of walks from there in the beautiful surroundings. It’s a comfy modernised cottage that had everything needed for a week’s stay.”

“Cottage is lush, clean, comfy, spacious. We were made to feel very welcome. Lots of attention to detail. There was tea, coffee, milk and even chocolates left for us. Beautiful breakfast, very attentive hosts. We only stayed for two nights but would love to come again and stay longer!”
