"Selfishly we wanted to leave a bad review so that we can keep this hidden gem to ourselves. This was the absolute highlight of our roadtrip. Easily the best place we stayed out of the 6 stops. This place was designed as if someone had a checklist of everything you’d expect from a vacation rental. The decor is modern and new, while still feeling comfortable. While not large, it makes great use of the space. We were 6 people and it never felt crowded. The high ceilings add to the roominess.AC plus heated floors. Beautiful views through massive windows in the bedroom, with automatic black out blinds for nighttime. The beds are 10/10, (even the fold out couch was extremely comfortable!) The hot tub is private and sheltered from the weather, yet there is still an unobstructed view of the forest and mountains. The cleaners need to be given a shout out. One of our party is allergic to animals. We didn’t notice until too late that the unit was per friendly. However, we didn’t have a single issue. There was no animal hair and no smell. The unit was extremely clean!10/10, we will stay again. Next time we’ll try and book all 3 units and bring the whole family."
"Charming place with beautiful rustic feeling and stunning views. Picnic table outside so we could enjoy dinner and breakfast in the outdoors. And nice fireplace warming us in the morning when we woke up. It is nice that we had the end unit. A great place to stop and rest after a long day in the parks. We didn’t get to use the fire pit because we got here too late, but it is a nice addition. The beds are a bit stiff and squeaky for the old light sleeping parents, (why it didn’t get a 5) but the kids all crashed in the loft. Sheets were soft, and nice pillows, plenty of linens and room for our family of 6. This following comment has no bearing on the host or place, just a note for future travelers to bring ear plugs if you’re a light sleepers because the passing trains blowing their horns in the middle of the night will wake you. Don’t open your windows. The young adults didn’t hear a thing."
"Would highly recommend!! It offered stunning views of the mountains while being nestled in the woods. It was a peaceful and relaxing place , an ideal spot to unwind . The cabin was absolutely beautiful and equipped with everything you would need and more! Overall , it was an exceptional experience. The hosts were available and easy to communicate with."
Spectacular mountain views in beautiful log chalet
10/10 Excellent
"Great place to stay and visit the surrounding areas. We were a family of 6 and it was brilliant for all of us. There is a restaurant in Golden called The Wolf Den which is also a must to visit. Excellent food, staff and the place itself is wonderful."
"The place is magnificent, very beautiful, comfortable & with many unexpected cooking utensils.
If you are a light sleeper, the train passings at night can keep you up with their horns."
