"In hindsight I'd have loved to have stayed here longer great accommodation lovely space would happily have spent a week here. As it was I was just passing through the area so really didn't get to make the most of the facilities while I was in Turangi. Only negative was the WiFi which dropped out quite a lot. "

"Really wonderful little spot in a great location, the chalets are a little outdated but they have everything you need for a relatively self sufficient stay at a great price. "

"Was there in March, so no snow but a good deal of rain. Rooms are wood framed with an OK bed; but the lights are dim, parking is bad (old asphalt, huge amount of craps in the back where you park: old washer, wood scraps, work shop stuffs, and the whole exterior needs repairs and painting. Nice view from the bars but the wood is bad. Certainly no chefs here. Frozen industrial pizza dough base, forget the breakfast. and I could not stay another day. No restaurants around. Folks fix your place ASAP before it physically fall apart."

"A great little cottage for a weekend getaway. The bedrooms are small but the lounge and living areas have plenty of space. Great location close to town and the river walkway. Cottage was clean and the beds were comfy. Would definitely stay again. "

"Reception closed earlier than indicated, room was bleached in the kitchen but dead bugs on the bed. Restaurant staff were great, food was delicious."

"The sheets and couch were stained. There were dead bugs in the bathroom. Overall, the property and room were dingy. I would not recommend staying here."

"The cottage was cute. The amenities were not as advertised. For example, there wasn’t a coffee grinder, the washer had someone’s wet clothes still in it, etc. We had to bring our own sheets and towels (which the host said was a local norm, but we asked a handful of locals who said this was not normal). We also had to dispose of our trash at a dump at a cost! The host was very persistent that we call him to get instructions on how to enter the cottage, and I had to explain multiple times that my phone couldn’t connect the call. The host eventually explained the house instructions via messages, which wasn’t complicated at all. Check out instructions were only available via the VRBO app, and there is no wifi. This just made it not as smooth. The location was close to some activities we had planned and the neighborhood was quiet."
