Grab the kids, bring the dog (limit 1 dog only) and explore the nearby beaches Great location In downtown Trinidad. Walk to everything! This cabin is conveniently located on a quiet wooded street just footsteps to a beautiful coastal beach trail. Head down the trail and you are a five minute walk to Indian beach for great beach-combing and tide-pooling. Head up the trail and you are a 5 minute walk to stores, restaurants, pier, local museum, public Bocci ball and tennis courts and other great hikes. Grab the dog because the town & beaches are super dog friendly.

This home is well suited for a couple’s getaway, friends gathering, or a comfortable stay for a family of four. One bedroom offers a King bed and the other a Queen bed. Parker Creek Cabin sits on an extra large lot with plenty of yard to enjoy and is fully fenced. Sit and relax on the covered deck that looks out at the forest and neighborhood. This home has beautiful hard wood floors and large windows making it feel open and warm. The wood stove provides great heat and ambiance while watching movies on the smart T.V. Living room is open to the small but well equipped kitchen. This beach cottage has a great cabin-like feel. Washer and dryer in detached shed.

Trinidad, once a historic whaling town remains a quaint, fishing village. It has one of the last "mosquito" commercial fishing fleets in California. Take a stroll on the newly remodeled pier or venture out on one of the many charter fishing boats. Depending on the season, dine on local Salmon, Rock Cod, Ling Cod or Crab. Come and enjoy Trinidad, where the Redwoods meet the sea!

Important Notes:

** Guest reserving home must be 25 years or older, be staying at the property the entire time and will be considered the responsible party for this booking.

** Upon completion of booking reservation guests will be required to sign a rental agreement agreeing to Trinidad Retreats rules and regulations.

** This home IS pet friendly for 1 dog only with a pet fee. Dog must not be left unattended inside or outside of the home.

So very much enjoyed stay at Parker Creek. Everything as we expected. Close to town but very quiet. Could hear breakers, largely views of beautiful greenery. Well equipped kitchen, lovely beds, al. Nice and clean.

The cabin has a 1950s feel but charges 2025 prices. Regrettably, it felt like a place in need of some TLC and upgrading of appliances and utilities.The oven looks to be 60 years old, at least, and the manufacturer went out of business in the late 80s so guessing fixing parts that break down is not easy. Aside from its age, it was dirty inside and we were not confidant or comfortable using it.There is also a classic, if being kind, stove which we didn’t need to use. It looked like something that would heavily consume wood but threw off a lot of heat, as needed.Some of the surfaces were sticky, the furniture was not easy to sit on or relax in and the beds have certainly seen better days. The bedding had a dank and musky odour.It’s a shame the owners seem reticent to spend money upgrading the place as it has scope to be a great place to stay.On the plus side, the communications with the host were good and there is an enclosed yard and garden area, useful for anyone traveling with dogs or young kids.The sea isn’t visible from the cabin but a trail takes you to it, though it is steep and a tad treacherous.The irony of leaving an envelope inviting gratuities for cleaning services was not lost on us given that we had to clean considerably ourselves despite having already paid a hefty cleaning fee when booking the property.Sadly, not recommended.

Coastal Redwood Family Vacation

We're so glad we found this vacation rental for our family vacation to the Redwoods. Trinidad is the perfect small town to disconnect, complete with a great grocery store and restaurants for your every need. Definitely recommend!!

Perfect beach house -- beautiful area.

Peaceful, quiet, beautiful, and well-located. Everything we wanted. Great walkability and close proximity to market and restaurants. The weather was nice and we enjoyed several meals outside on the covered deck. Loved the sound of the birds too. We went to Prairie Creek, Patrick's Point, Arcata & Eureka besides Trinidad. We have been to Trinidad 7 times, but this was a first at Parker Creek Cabin and we would definitely come again. Enjoyed watercolor painting as well. Our little dog, Casi, loved it too.

We fully enjoyed our stay at the property. Interactions with the host were fine. Lots of good information provided in pamphlets and online. Close to the beach, but private. Big lot, roomy house, nicely appointed. We'd come back there again.

Weekend Getaway

My family rented this place to attend Rumble over the Redwoods in McKinleyville. It was a great location and we loved the ability to walk to Indian Beach or into town for coffee in the morning. It’s smells like an old cabin. Haha. Which can be kind of nostalgic. The only thing I wish is that check-in was pushed up an hour to 3 PM and check-out pushed out an hour to 11 AM. Other than that, it was good!

we stayed on a very hot day- but able to open the windows and let some air in. Bed was comfortable and bathroom adequate. we did notice a slip up on one coffee cup washing- but we now try to wash own dishes when a dishwasher not in unit. I would recommend a shed or the trash because an animal made dinner late at night of the previous trash bags left in the garage area. If this was one thing I suggest it would help.

This house was larger than expected and came well supplied. The porch deck is a nice bonus for outdoor seating. The bathtub/shower drain is very slow and got worse over the week.

Trinidad vacation

The little house was nice & clean. The location was great.The one love seat in the house was comfortable for two, but not four adults. The bathroom was clean. There were no dressers/vanity in the two bedrooms, so we lived out of our suitcases for our 4 day stay and had no a place to prepare for the day. The location is perfect for many quick walks down to the beach. It would have been wonderful to have some beach chairs to take down to the many quick walks we took to watch the amazing sunsets. The kitchen had the essentials. We enjoyed our stay, but it’s would be more comfortable for 2 not 4. Being able have our dog Lola with us was GREAT!

Cozy coast retreat

Great location and really cozy beds. Just a short walk to the beach and downtown. The wood stove made the place to cozy and we enjoyed the covered deck since it was raining most of the time.
