"Beautiful hotel, walkable to Flam railway and all activities."

"Nice clean hotel in Voss. Room was very comfortable and quiet. Stayed for the buffet style dinner which had an ok selection of hot food (pork/lasagne/fish) plus vegetables and a salad bar, also puddings. Fish wasn’t great but everything else was fine. Sauna had a great view of the water. "

"The location of this hotel is INCREDIBLE with views of the fjord and waterfalls! Our room was lovely, spacious and clean with a kitchen and couch. The complimentary breakfast was plentiful and delicious, especially the waffles. It was so nice to stay overnight in Gudvangen when there weren’t crowds there - the evening was peaceful on the fjord and in the morning we were able to do Viking Village when it first opened (axe throwing & archery with no line!!!) before all the tour buses and boat got there. Two complaints: 1. the curtains were sheer which is a major problem for trying to sleep during the summer in which it never truly gets dark 2. the wifi password was not listed out anywhere and we had to go back to the front desk to ask for it. Would HIGHLY recommend this hotel for a night to break up the “Norway in a Nutshell” itinerary. "

"Great Hotel, amazing view and a nice breakfast"

"Location, the hotel and staff were great however the first night, the temperature in the room was approx 26oC due to fault with the heating, so we had to sleep with the windows open. Reported to reception, but they couldn't do anything until maintenance came in the morning. The following day, there was no hot water for the shower and then this happened every morning until we left. Occasionally it came through, so we had to have a very quick shower."

"Very unique location just steps away from the fjord. Majestic views! Easily walkable to restaurants,etc. We rented kayaks from the hotel so really convenient. "

"The location of the hotel was great as was the view from the room. The dinner menu was limited but quality was good, however breakfast was very bad and the coffee was burnt. We were in the junior suit, it was a large room, but the furniture was dated, the room and the bathroom were not clean. There was no soap in the dispensers and no paper napkins/tissue. The hotel was understaffed and that did affect the service, since there was no housekeeping or room service. Overall an average hotel over priced for the quality being offered. "

"Cabins are near the water. Clean. Towels and linen provided. Reception staffs were helpful and easy to deal with. Common toilets and showers are well kept. Common kitchen equipped with plates pans etc. "
