"L appartement n étant pas fini , nous avons payé 99€ pour une nuit , la baie vitrée n offre aucune intimité avec les appartements mitoyens . Le cadre est actuellement en friche . Nous avons visité une partie des 3 ha qu offre le château ( rien d exceptionnel pour la vue ) Nous sommes sommes rentrés de notre visite de nuit du parc de maulévrier, 10 mouches se trouvaient au plafond . Pour la communication, ne savions pas qu il y avait un spa , ni de tables d Hotes qui bien sûr ne pouvaient donc...

"Ideal location in the centre of Saumur close to shops and restaurants, just under the Saumur castle. The hosts provide a breakfast option which is a nice addition. The appartment is well-furnished and comfortable."

"Charming very clean little wooden chalet with a lovely view over the lakes from a large balcony with sunloungers and a table for 6. Set on a small family run camping site it is in beautiful grounds. Nathalie cannot do enough, very friendly and helpful checking regularly that everything is ok and nothing more can be done. There are free pedalos on one lake and other activities and games. It is a 20 minute walk through the trees and by lakes to the village where there are shops and a super u....

"My wife and I were very impressed with Barbara’s hideaway. The cottage was clean, functional, and out of the way but still fairly close to all the wonderful little towns and chateaus in the valley. The private pool was a treat and we felt like we were the only people around for miles yet Barbara was there anytime we had a question. We were the first quests from the United States so we hope Barbara sees many more. You will not be disappointed. C’était génial"

"Hôte trés à l'écoute et réactive aux messages envoyés. Le logement a été en parti rénové mais je pense qu'il y a pas mal de chose à revoir. Notamment pour la sécurité des enfants. Gros avantage par contre, le menage compris. Pratique quand nous avons des enfants en bas âge. "

"Location, location, location! Very old part of the city and some areas around are not in good shape! The apartment does not have internet but is otherwise well equipped. The view of the Loire out the front windows is lovely. Nice to watch the boats go by. If elderly with lots of luggage, this apartment is not for you! Very old narrow winding staircase to the apartment on the top floor! The proprietor is lovely and very helpful!!!"

" Nous avons passé un agréable séjour à 20 minutes du Puy-du-Fou. La piscine a ravi nos filles et le cadre verdoyant fut très agréable pour tout le monde ! Notre petit westie Ringo a été très gentiment accueilli. "

"Well equipped beautiful cottage in the Loire countryside. Very Clean. Owners are very welcoming and friendly and have a vineyard 1/2 an hour away - worth the trip and the tasting. The house is close to Saumur which is lovely and has lots to see and do, including nice restaurants and is well located for visiting some famous historical sites like Chinon and Fontavraud Abbey. a very relaxing break."

"J'y est passé une semaine avec mes 2 filles (19 et 14 ans) et nous avons passé une très bonne semaine. Mes filles cherchaient surtout du repos, après un mois de juillet très mouvementé. Elles ont été ravis. Le très grand jardin et la superbe piscine ont suffit à leur bonheur. Le gîte est grand, très sympa et bien agencé, de quoi donner envie d'y rester plus longtemps. Nous y reviendrons sûrement l'année prochaine. Pour les parents, dont les enfants ne s'inquiètent que du débit du wifi, dites...

The check in process was seamless and we were greetd with pmenty of usefull information. The proerty is so nice its like somthing from a story book."

"Super propriété. Cependant pas de piscine , pas de bain a remous, pas d étang , chemin fermé par une barrière avec cadenas donc pas possible de l emprunté. Babyfoot en très mauvais état.... "Wherever we stay, the quality of the welcome and of the service we receive is the single most important thing. And here it was wonderful. From checking in to checking out staff couldn’t do enough - friendly, helpful, informative. The hotel itself is a beautiful building based around a lovely garden where we at each morning. We arrived with a big dog who was clearly as welcome as us (one of the managers brings his dog to work). The room was clean and spacious, the bed comfortable and reasonably large and - importantly given the weather and unusually for so many hotels - the air conditioning was first rate. The pool is small but more than enough to cool off before sitting in the shade with a beer. The hotel is on the outskirts of Saumur, but only 5 minutes walk to the centre. Saumur itself is lovely - small enough to be accessible, large enough to feel lively. Lots of history in the town and nearby (Angers, Chinon, Blois). All in all we had a wonderful stay. "

"Everything was wonderful. I stayed there 5 days and tried everything, le petit déjeuner delicious, le dîner incredible ! Only thing I didn’t know is that I had to pay extra to enjoy the jacuzzi (why isn’t it included ?). I needed it to warm up bc coming from Miami, the drop in temperature was brutal :). But it’s ok I still loved it ! Thank you !"

Convenient and welcoming

"Hotel Ibis is convenient for those travelling to Saumur by train-- property is literally right across street from station. Friendly service ( I can speak a bit of French; they could speak some English so all good for check-in, etc! Also.one staffer who was fully bilingual.). Good breakfast in pleasant dining area. Also a cozy bar and in nice weather a courtyard. There is a v.good Italian restaurant next door, and cafe 2 blocks away. You will want to go into Saumur Centre-- a 15 minute walk over 2 bridges. Lots to explore and many eating choices there. "
