Excellent home
The house and outdoor space is so comfortable, clean and inviting. We were so pleased with the space...we were sad to say goodbye to our pueblo. Outdoor fireplace and sitting area were ideal for morning coffee and evening cocktails.
House is fully stocked to cook meals.
We were two families (8 people) and had plenty of space. We loved the quiet location--it took us about 25 minutes to get to Taos ski resort and 20 to get into Taos town. One thing to be aware of is that the upstairs master bedroom does not have a door--the entire upstairs is the master bedroom. This was fine for our group with older kids but just something to be aware of for those with younger kids. The beds do have some of the scratchiest sheets and worst pillows of any vacation home I've ever stayed in, which made for uncomfortable sleeping, hence the four stars. If management could make the small investment in decent sheets and pillows this place would be perfect.

Stay in adobe home
This is a beautiful property and good concept of a home, but with some small improvements on the details, it could be a much nicer experience for everyone. All in all it was a wonderful place with nice fireplaces and room to eat for a large party. The home was pretty well appointed with towels, linens, laundry etc. It says there are two kid beds but really they are just soft mattresses that go on the floor. Nobody in our group desired to sleep on the futon. Cleanliness could be improved with simple, dusting, vaccuming and mopping. Linens and beds could be more comfortable as well. Beautiful views, and nice hike available out the back door.

Best ever
Best place ever. I won't stay anywhere else when I visit Taos.
Loved the house! Plenty of room for 4 adults and then some. Out in the country but close enough to Taos for dinner etc. It is down a gravel road, and you would need AWD or 4WD in snowy weather.

Liked: Check-in, listing accuracy
Disliked: Location
Overall nice house but not comfortable
We're a group of 5 men, and had a good stay, so I'll start with the positives. The house itself was nice, and there is a lot of privacy, but the location is very confusing to get to, so make sure you have cell service. Each of us got lost at least once. The master bedroom is open to the rest of the house, so no sleeping in. We found the previous tenant's full trash bag in the courtyard. There was a dead mouse floating in the main toilet. The house has no extra blankets. All of the beds are old, loud and creaky. The kitchen had no paper towels, and the ice maker could not keep up. The listing shows a huge stack of firewood, but there's none. We went to cook on the grill, but the cylinder was empty. To sum up, this house was meant only for renting out, not for living in it, so there were many things that fell short as far as comfort. We will not stay here again.
We were five friends who haven’t seen each other for awhile. We enjoyed just hanging out with each other in a wonderful home. Cooking, eating, remembering old times!!

All the Comforts of Home
This was my first experience with home rentals, and we were not disappointed. The five of us were very comfortable in this home outside of Taos. We had places to hike, look at the amazing clear skies, cook most meals, and find privacy, when we needed alone time.
The kitchen was well stocked for most of our cooking needs. A pair of cooking tongs would have have been nice. We enjoyed sitting outdoors on the patio in the morning and afternoons. We loved the large dining room table for dining and for playing games after dinner. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle and city noise, this place is for you.
I could not speak more highly of this property and property owner. My family of four stated very comfortably. We had the best time walking around property. We watched movies, only 20 minutes to town for food or activities. We lived the house therefore we remained around the house the whole time. The only thing I didn't like was some of the decor but that is just a styling preference. I know this decor is very popular in New Mexico. I loved the trees around the property, I loved the open concept living room and kitchen dining area, I loved the light wood beams on the ceiling, so beautiful!! The owner Jeppe was very kind, and helpful. Absolutely helped me with anything I needed. I am very grateful with all that's happening with covid19 that extra cleaning and safety precautions were followed. I hope to stay another time, truly enjoyed my trip. Only problem was that I didn't want to leave. Haha. Blessing to you Jeppe, thank you again.
This was the perfect location for a short getaway for my husband and me. We were within an hour of so many wonderful hiking trails, and appreciated the privacy of a more secluded lodging. We would definitely recommend this property and welcome the opportunity to stay again should we make it back to the Taos area in the future.
Listing description was spot on. Cell service is poor, but house has wifi. It is remote, I would say need 4x4 in rainy conditions plus winter. House is great, awesome wildlife, would revisit. Good location for access into Taos Ski Valley.

Best experience
We recently stayed at Jeppe’s gorgeous home and had a seamless experience. The house was even more beautiful than we imagined - all directions were very clear. Gorgeous location, gorgeous home, incredibly kind and welcoming homeowner via email. A perfect stay - highly recommend!

Wonderful vacation home
This house was just perfect for our family holiday ski trip. There were 6 of us. We had plenty of room for us plus all of our ski equipment! We ate out almost every night, but if we had wanted to cook, the kitchen was equipped with everything we would have needed. While we skied, my father in law stayed put watching tv. He had plenty of channels to choose from! The house has wifi and we had no problem getting cell service.
The house is beautiful inside and out. It was nice to stay in a well kept home.
If you stay at this home in the winter, take 4 wheel drive. The morning we were leaving, one of our cars couldn't make it out.....good thing we had another vehicle with 4 wheel drive to pull it up the hill. Made for an interesting morning.
We would definitely stay here again.

Most well equipped, organized, immaculate home I have ever stayed at as a vacation rental. Family friendly. Inviting. Beautiful location. So many amazing places to explore within a 2 hour hour radius! My family of 5 is grateful to Jeppe for sharing this home with us!

Nice House But Poor Choice for Summer Stay
Pros....The house had nice features, lovely patios, very private, hiking right outside your door. Cons....it didn't have a cooling system. (Maybe this is something I should have known, but I didn't and if I had known I would not have booked.) My husband and I were traveling with our two young children (3 years and 18 months). We arrived for check in at 5:15pm and the first floor was 87 and the upstairs was 91. A note in the kitchen suggested we open the windows for "our comfort". It was miserably hot inside and the sun was pouring in on the west side of the house. Even with the windows opened, the house barely cooled that evening. Our kids went to bed sweating and even at 10:30pm the upstairs was still 80. Overnight it cooled and was 67 when we woke. With small children, this was extremely challenging. The windows did allow for a nice breeze but were definitely not designed to be opened and closed every day. The middle bedroom with two twin beds was absolutely useless as it didn't have blackout curtains so the sun came in super strong making it the hottest room in the house. Unless you plan to go to sleep after midnight, the room would be too bright and too hot. A nice feature were the skylights which let in natural light, but since it was summer they let in extra heat and there was no way to darken the room which made nap time challenging. My husband has AT&T and I have Verizon. Neither one of us had cell service while at the house. I attempted to send a message about the temperatures through the VRBO app since we did have wifi but never received a response. It said they didn't use the messaging service but that I could expect a response via email but that never came. We had hoped to stay on the property and relax but due to the inside temperatures we ended up exploring the town most of the time. We're from Texas and are use to the heat but had hoped to have a more comfortable stay. I would not recommend this house for a summer stay unless you want to sweat and open/close windows every morning and night.

this is the place if you want gorgeous scenery, abundant wildlife in a quiet and secluded location!
The house is gorgeous and well decorated. It is well kept and clean upon our arrival for 4 days of relaxing and exploring the area around Taos. We enjoyed the outdoor fireplace and gas grill each night. The low temps were in the 20’s and highs in low 70’s during our stay in mid April. The house remained comfortable during the nights so we never used the huge fireplace in the living area.
We had quick response to our questions upon arrival when we got lost inside the community. Cell reception was spotty but texts seem to go through most of the time. The WiFi was good to keep us on line for planning day trips.
Don’t miss the Bridge over the Rio Grande Gorge! It was a short 30 minute drive and stop and check out Taos half way there.
It was hard to leave the house for sightseeing when we had deer and turkey around the house all day and the porch around the house was so nice. Thanks for a great get away and......We will return!

Taos House of our Dreams!
The home is clean, attractive, and comfortable. The kitchen is well-stocked, so we cooked each night instead of going out. The fireplaces (inside and out) are awesome! Lots of room for our family to be comfortable and have fun together. Loved it.

Beautiful house! Private, Clean & Roomy with AMAZING views
Perfect house for our weeklong adventure exploring the Taos area ... Very private, no neighbors, no noise ... amazing views of sunset and sunrise from almost everywhere in the house ... unforgettable watching the milky way and all of the stars from laying in bed (some people might find the bed in the MB a bit too firm) ... huge kitchen with everything we needed ... loved the open layout ... worked out perfectly for family of four ... Thank you!

This property went beyond all expectations
The home was not a destination but an experience. It is close enough to Taos to enjoy all the restaurants and activities but secluded enough to take in sunrise and sunset and beautiful mountain views from every room. There are so many places to be cozy and read a book or just relax. The home provides every amenity. Pictures do not do it justice; it is spectacular. Can't wait to go back!
