Parfait

Notre séjour a etait très bien , l'accueille a était des plus chaleureuse (comme si c'était chez nous). Propriétaire très charment est simple malgres leurs statut. Mobilier d'époque , on se croierez au 19 ème siècle et cela est très immersive. L'accès dans la plupart des parties du château et accessible ( bibliothèque , salon etc..). Le petit déjeuner à était lui aussi parfait , nos hôtes ont était à notre écoute est cela est plus qu'agréable. Nous recommandons sans souci est nous reviendrons si cela nous est possible.

We had an amazing experience staying in the amazing Chateau de Varambon. Countess Boissieu and host Thibaud were very friendly and helpful, the room was clean and spacious, the breakfast was authentic and delicious. The chateau and its surroundings are breathtakingly beautiful.

Uniek aan deze accommodatie is dat het voelt alsof je gewoon op bezoek bent bij de graaf en gravin en mag slapen in één van hun mooie kamers. Onze kamer was dit jaar héérlijk groot met een écht oud balkon én een uitzicht! Niet normaal. De douche was misschien wat klein. Wat "grotere" mensen zouden hier een probleem mee kunnen hebben.

The history of the property was quite interesting and Count Boissieu did a wonderful job explaining the significance of the family castle. It was a lovely place to stay. However, we were a bit taken aback on our second night there when we returned at 11pm (after a full day of sight seeing) to find Countess Boissieu at the door sort of scolding us for having returned so late. She said something to the effect “you are arriving too late. This is not a hotel, this is a guesthouse.” This was totally confusing to us as the Count had told us the night before about how to get in when returning late. We liked the Château and the atmosphere, but my wife was so upset with the Countess’ comment that we would not feel comfortable recommending this place to our friends. By the way, their own guest guidelines mention nothing about a curfew ☹️

super endroit authentique

Très bien accueillis par le propriétaire, personne extrêmement agréable, il nous gentiment recommandé des restaurants pour le soir, le petit-déjeuner fut un moment de partage avec les autres convives très plaisant... on a pu profiter de leur pjarc pour nous relaxer ... on recommande vivement cet emplacement .... c’est egalement proche de Perouges (ville médiévale à visiter absolument )

A memorable stay in an historic chateau

Very beautiful fairy tale chateau with excellent exterior and interior! Lots of taste and details! Friendly owner -Count and Countess de Boissieu- who offered welcome drink to us! Good breakfast, coffee tea facilities for the guests. Good heating. Excellent view from the castle!

Belle soirée avec 2 autres couples...nous avons vraiment apprécié ce week-end. Le comte M. Henri de Boissieu sait recevoir ses hôtes et partage volontiers la belle histoire des lieux et de sa famille.

authentisches Chateau in ruhiger Umgebung

Sehr authentisches Chateau in ruhiger Umgebung. Die Besitzer sind sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Man wird in der Familie gerne aufgenommen. Leider sind die Öffnungszeiten der Restaurants in der Umgebung sehr eingeschränkt.
