Great condo - close to all the necessities

This unit was perfect for our family of 4, as a base for our holiday in Victoria. It was clean, well stocked, bright and a great size. There was an incredible children’s park within a 2min walk. We will definitely stay here again when we return to Vic!

Beautiful rooms, supplied fans and everything we needed. Great location close to everything. Only two small things to mention that were minor. No AC and lots of stairs. If it hadn’t been such a hot day it would probably have been cool enough with the fans and windows open though. She let us check in early and communicated well.

The bathroom fan could not be turned off and was very dirty. The front door was very difficult to open. The hot water from the sinks never came. The towels were hidden. Soap was hidden. Plunger and toilet brush were not hidden. The dishes were placed in a weird spot (not near the dishwasher). No reading light on both sides of the bed. Tea towels were no where to be found. It smelled like bleach when we walked in. Google maps told us we had arrived when we were on the highway. One of the frames had a picture installed wrong, it had slipped down. Wifi was clear and good. The windows were good to block the noise from the highway. It was clean.

Nice place

The property was clean bright and the right amount of space. The stairs were hard on our elderly family member but doable. The area was family friendly with a park down the street. Minimal traffic noise noticeable in the apartment. There was easy communication with the host. The beds left more to be desired as they were narrow, firm and squeaky. We did have to request towels as they were limited in the apartment and no bath mat (slippery floor when wet).

Liked: Nice clean home. Disliked: Highway near property was very noisy. Beds were hard and not enough extra blankets. Failed to mention 14 stairs up to suite. Have to bring your own laundry soap. Had to ask for a dishwasher tab. Homeowner played movie way to load couldn’t sleep past bylaw time.

Nice place but not what we thought it would be.

This is an apartment over the garage in a very nice house. The place was nice except for two things. 1/ No air conditioning. The apartment has very nice windows but can get a wee bit hot. 2/ 17 stairs straight up. One of our family could not visit because of the stairs and another had a hard time climbing them. Neither of these was apparent from the ad. This place is very nice for people with full mobility but not great for those less fortunate.

Review of our stay

It was a nice property, although the noise from the highway was loud. There was one hand towel supplied for the reservation of 4 people for 5 days which I don't feel is sanitary or suffice. There should have been at least one for each day or each person. The kitchen garbage can was small like a bathroom garbage can with only one bag. We recycled what we could, but had to ask for garbage bags twice. I'm trying to keep the place clean but it's hard without garbage bags. There were 4 cups, forks and knives, no extra until we found some searching for garbage bags. I don't believe in running the dishwasher with 4 of everything in it, but could not wait until it was full, so often I would hand wash the dishes.I believe the idea of Vrbo is privacy on your vacation but one would think that living basically above the garage in someone's house that there might be a little friendliness but its clearly all about the money. I most likely would not stay at this property again.
