We researched over a hundred cabin rentals, and several rental companies. We settled on A Glowing View because it listed everything we wanted for our family vacation. We were even more satisfied than we expected. The house had everything. The main floor is perfect for family gatherings with an open, well equipped kitchen, large great room, and dining room with seating for ten. There are six French doors that we kept open, so the fresh air and breezes kept it cool. The master suite upstairs, and the two masters downstairs gave everyone their privacy. The downstairs family room has a pool table that kept us busy for hours. My husband loved the study upstairs, which he used for his computer work. We were there from 8/8-15, and the weather was perfect. I am sure that contributed greatly to our experience. The wrap around porch was ideal. We lived on the porch. We watched sunrise from the back porch, complete with great porch furniture, and sunsets from the front rocking chairs. The amazing thing was how few bugs there were. This home sits high on a hill with great curb appeal. The views from the house are spectacular. The home is close to Boone, so it was not hard to get somewhere for shopping or meals. There is plenty to do within a 30 mile radius. Other great features include a fire pit, complete with firewood. It has a big, well maintained hot tub. There is a small flat back lawn for games (which come with the house-croquet and badminton). There was an abundance of towels, pillows, and blankets. The WiFi worked great. There is a ton of storage, lots of both walk-in closets and bedroom furniture. It has a great two car garage. This home was built in the early 80's, so the fixtures and tile are dated. But, the owners thought of everything in designing this home for family living. Overall, we would recommend this house. We had a fabulous week. Thanks to the owners for sharing it with us. I would also give a shout out to Carolina Cabin Rental. They responded within hours to every e-mail I sent. They kept us updated on information we needed. The check-in process was great. When I called about a problem, they responded promptly. This was a positive experience from start to finish.
