"We loved this property but recognize the steep walk up and 55 steps down to our room might not be for everyone. It was just fine for us because the only noise was the sound of waves against the rocks below our room. Also, communication was excellent for us due to problems with Expedia but our hostess patient and helpful. The rooftop patio was lovely with great views of the harbour. The apartment was spacious with very comfortable furniture. "

"We had a wonderful stay in Yelapa. It was our first time to Yelapa, and Jay helped us organize a private boat to town from a marina close to the airport. The house is also only a minute or so from the town pier.The view from the house was unbeatable, waking up every morning was a delight, and watching sunset in the evenings was amazing as well. The crew in town, Felipe & Yanet took great care of us. The people of Yelapa were also super friendly and I can’t wait to come back.My only complaint was...

"We rented for 5 days at the end of jan 2019 by taking a cab from vallarta to boca de tomatlan to the water taxi dock with all our luggage and groceries We enjoyed the quiet calm of the palapa with mesmerizing sound of the waves in the background. It's just as it looks in the pictures. Comfy king bed. Saw many whales. The view of the ocean in our palapa was exceptional!! Not many mosquitos, bug spray helps. "VRBO description inaccurate-no TV, street # was incorrect, and when I asked the host he said no laundry facilities. However, later he said it was ok and gave us the key to the laundry area. Secure parking. Once we settled in, we enjoyed our 9 day stay. Basic, small 1 bedroom apartment; fabulous views from the balcony-great sunrises and sun sets. 10 min walk to town centre. Great get away , friendly locals, very safe. A few restaurants in town and street food."

Relaxing beach vacay

"Casa Gratitud was everything we hoped it would be. We enjoyed our stay in this gorgeous home overlooking the bay. The home was clean and well appointed with most everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing weeklong stay. Do be warned that there are 200 stairs from the trail to the house. We enjoyed the daily workout and the view is worth it!Make sure that the water taxi drops you off at the correct pier when you arrive as there are two in the town. We didn’t know and arrived to the wrong one. Yelapa is a charming town that is a welcomed break from the hustle and bustle of the big city. Everyone was so friendly and the fresh shrimp ceviche, guacamole, and groceries awaiting us at the house were a huge hit! Thank you Yanet!"

"El Cielito was literally a breath of fresh air from the crowded “tourism scene” in the area. If you are looking for a relaxing, beautiful and affordable location for your next vacation, this is exactly what you are looking for. Staff were all amazing and the accommodations were superb. CASAS LAS PAROTAS 1-Room Studio Apartment with rooftop patio overlooking Bay

"We loved the patio. Perfect place to do yoga, watch birds and the sunrise hits the patio directly which is amazing in the morning. The bed was comfortable and the host(s) are very responsive. The house is up on the hill, but it only takes 5-10 minutes to walk into town. Yelapa has lots going on at night and can be loud, we found the location of this house to be located perfectly as it is close to town but far enough away that you're not surrounded by it. We would definitely stay again!"

The house on the hill

" The house is at the top of a hill. Clean and comfortable beds. There is an apartment above, so it is easy to hear movements and doors. On top of that is a deck with chairs and a table where you can watch whales. You also have a view over the beach. People are very friendly and helpful. Restaurants have great food. Be prepared to do a lot of walking. "
