“The gite was beautiful, very clean and well equipped. Jacques SORBIER and his wife, the hosts, were very hospitable and greeted us on our arrival. We managed to communicate via email, despite our basic level of French. The gite is in a lovely rural location with far reaching views of the countryside, but is well located to explore the surrounding villages of the Dordogne. The picturesque village of Saint Alvere is only 5 mins drive and the larger town of Bugue, with a supermarket, is only 15……

“We had an excellent two-week stay in this lovely traditional gîte. The accommodation was comfortable and well equipped. The hosts, Pascal and Sabine, were wonderful and very welcoming. Our 10-year-old son really enjoyed the pool area. There was plenty to do and see in the area. We would definitely recommend it.”

“Unser Aufenthalt in der Gite Saint-Amand AT Felicie war wunderbar! Die Lage ist ein Traum! Ringsum Natur und trotzdem ist man mit dem Auto in ein paar Minuten im Ort. Dort gibt es alles, was man braucht. Bäcker, Supermarkt, Restaurants und 2x pro Woche Markt mit frischen Lebensmitteln aus der Region. Für Ausflüge ins Perigord ideal, da das Haus sehr zentral liegt. “Lovely stay and sad to leave after a week. Well equipped (especially with kitchenware) and good facilities. Good water pressure for the showers and lots of fans for the hotter days. House felt spacious for our 2 families. Loved eating outside and utilising the games room, BBQ and of course the swimming pool! Everything was clean, tidy and well maintained. Really enjoyed the short walk downhill to the village restaurant. Beautiful surroundings and well connected for exploring Bergerac and the……

“This was our second stay at this special property, and we had a wonderful time. The host and property manager are kind and helpful. The property is peaceful and well located to explore the area - it is also incredibly relaxing to just stay by the pool and river. We plan on a third visit!”

“Good rental and position. We parked in front of the house ( and not to the right hand side as instructed) but even just backing out the car was a tricky business. It would perhaps be helpful for future guests if there was a fence or rope to restrict access. The neighbours were helpful in pushing our car!”

The pool was large with extensive seating. The house was very comfortable and included air-conditioning in the bedrooms. Located just south of Bergerac town and the Dordogne it is ideally located to explore Saint-Emilion, Eymet, Issigeac, Monpazier, Molieres and beyond.
