In addition, one ceiling light was positioned in front of the tv , which was positioned very high on the wall. When you watched tv you had to turn the light off , but then there were no other lights on except a bathroom light. I would add a second chair to a room made for two people. "Loved this small hotel tucked into a hillside with gorgeous views. Dinner fantastic with attentive staff. Not a large menu. Just a few first and second course dishes prepared just for that night. At the chef’s suggestion we shared plates of all of them. The pool has great views and drinks. The hilltown Fortunago is on the list of Italy’s best preserved and carefully maintained. Town so tiny nothing to do but enjoy the perfection of place. No tourist shops in sight. A true get-away. Excellent breakfast included, another plus."

The breakfast offer is limited but adequate and easy and the breakfast rooms a good size. Staff very helpful, and friendly. Well located near the train and bus stations (and with own car parking underneath for those who came by car like me) and a short and pleasant walk from the centre. Would recommend to anyone for a short stay in Pavia. Good value."

"This was genuinely the most incredible stay. The hosts were so incredibly hospitable, the place was absolutely breathtaking, and the whole experience was so serene and lovely! We had a fantastic meal cooked freshly for us with authentic local cuisine, drinks on the terrace overlooking the mountains, and hospitality that is rare to find these days! I can’t recommend this stay enough."
